United passenger threatened with handcuffs to make room for 'higher-priority' traveler
Last week....
It’s hard to find examples of worse decision-making and customer treatment than United Airlines having a passenger dragged from an overbooked plane. But United’s shabby treatment of Geoff Fearns, including a threat to place him in handcuffs, comes close.
Fearns, 59, is president of TriPacific Capital Advisors, an Irvine investment firm that handles more than half a billion dollars in real estate holdings on behalf of public pension funds. He had to fly to Hawaii last week for a business conference.
Fearns needed to return early so he paid about $1,000 for a full-fare, first-class ticket to Los Angeles. He boarded the aircraft at Lihue Airport on the island of Kauai, took his seat and enjoyed a complimentary glass of orange juice while awaiting takeoff.
Then, as Fearns tells it, a United employee rushed onto the aircraft and informed him that he had to get off the plane.

US, Jordanian forces break into Syria to rescue rebels surrounded by ISIS
US-backed Syrian rebels were quickly surrounded by a group of ISIS fighters who have prowessed desert warfare and maneuvers prompting US and Jordanian troops to intervene hurriedly to lift the pressure off their Syrian allies. Some 20 US tanks and armored vehicles were allegedly involved in repelling the ISIS assault.
Jordanian jets were seen by eye witnesses; though it remains unknown whether airstrikes were carried out. Whether this is a minor intervention limited to protecting FSA fighters allied to the US-led Coalition or a prelude to a much more expansive operation aimed at expelling the Islamic State terror group from the Syrian Badiyah (desert) is yet to be seen.

Guess who owns stock in Raytheon?
Stock prices for munition makers and Boeing and etc went up today.
No record that Trump had sold any of his Raytheon stock, or any other stock affected by the strike.
Frontier ISP/Yahoo folks....we got a new scam today. heads up.
Longish thing, it opens by saying .."Hi"
which is not how Frontier opens when they send real email notices.
It says to change your password due to recent security issues, then will send you to a web page to get a new password, AFTER you enter your current password and security answer.
It says to contact @communications.yahoo.com for any questions
but
when I ran that thru google, it came back as an address being identified on scam reports.
It will send you to a Frontier looking web page, but if you click on any linksin the authentic looking masthead, they open to a blank page.
Best clue: Frontier would not send an email change notice, yahoo would.
2nd best clue: my email client warned it was spam.

Well, apparently that only took him a few days, since Susan Rice thing has only been in the news for a few days.
