Racial inequality protests, Black Gloves provided by White Guy

I've written about this, in the past. Most people are totally unaware that Australian Peter Norman was the person who provided the infamous black gloves displayed during the 68 Olympuc's in Mexico, by Tommie Smith & John Carlos.

Peter Norman was ostracized, by Australia, in general, for his participation in the 68 Olympic protest; where Peter had won a Silver Medal.

At great personal cost, Peter had refused to condemn his fellow Olympians

Smith & Carlos suffered, greatly, as has Colin, for daring to upset the White systems and powers that be.

Though he, too, was ostracized, Peter Norman continued his fight against racial inequality, actively working for Australian's indigenous Aborigines.

Never forgetting him, Olympians Smith & Carlos were pall bearers at Peter Norman's funeral.

Just two days ago, attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted that Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted, in a response to a tweet that Trump Jr. made mocking the idea that Avenatti could run for President.

This garnered a lot of attention from the public, as Avenatti has consistently been a thorn in President Trump’s side over the past couple of years.

Now, Avenatti is taking his prediction a step further, with another tweet this morning, adding details to his claim that Don Jr. will eventually end up with criminal charges on his plate.

Russian Whistleblower Assassinated After Uncovering $200 Billion Dirty-Money Scandal

LONDON--A crusading Russian official traveled to Estonia in the summer of 2006 to warn the authorities that an unprecedented money-laundering scheme had been established in the tiny Baltic financial sector. The scam he had uncovered would go on to become the biggest dirty-money operation in history: the $200 billion Danske Bank scandal.

Three months after Andrei Kozlov, the first deputy chairman of the Russian Central Bank, tried to raise the alarm, he was dead.

Crooked beneficiaries of the illicit multibillion-dollar scheme to transfer money out of Russia included a member of Vladmir Putin's family and agents from the KGB's successor, the FSB, according to a leaked report drawn up by a bank insider.

According to a diplomatic cable seen by The Daily Beast, U.S. officials briefly investigated Kozlov's trip to try to shut down the money-laundering superhighway through Tallinn soon after his death, but the scale and importance of the dirty-money route was unknown at the time.

Gifford Law Center sues DOJ for all Communications with NRA

Gun control advocates on Tuesday sued the U.S. to make it release communications with the firearms lobby, including remarks on a memo by a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives official suggesting some regulations be eased.

The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence and the Democracy Forward Foundation seek to compel the Justice Department and the ATF to comply with Freedom of Information Act requests the plaintiffs made earlier. Those requests, filed on July 25, seek communications between Justice Department employees and gun rights groups including the National Rifle Association.

In the complaint, filed in federal court in San Francisco, the plaintiffs refer to an internal white paper by Ronald Turk from early 2017 suggesting the ATF ease certain firearms regulations. Turk, at that time the associate deputy director of the bureau, contacted Mark Barnes, a firearms industry lobbyist, for his input on the memo. The correspondence between the two was released following a Freedom of Information Act request and a subsequent lawsuit filed by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. The ATF later said the memo “was something Ron Turk did on his own” and didn’t reflect official agency policy.

Steele praised people who speak “unpalatable truths to power” and condemned Trump’s administration as “distorted and one-sided.” He was writing in Vanity Fair after being named one of the 100 most influential people in the media, politics, entertainment, and finance. “In these strange and troubling times, it is hard to speak unpalatable truths to power, but I believe we all still have a duty to do so,” he wrote. “I salute those on your list, and otherwise, who have had the courage to speak out over the last year, often at great personal cost. D.C. Circuit sent complaints about Kavanaugh's testimony to Chief Justice Roberts

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has received more than a dozen judicial misconduct complaints against Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh in recent weeks but has chosen for the time being not to refer them to a judicial panel for investigation.

A judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit — the court on which Kavanaugh serves — sent a string of complaints to Roberts starting three weeks ago, according to four people familiar with the matter.

That judge, Karen LeCraft Henderson, had dismissed other complaints against Kavanaugh as frivolous, but she concluded that some were substantive enough that they should not be handled by Kavanaugh’s fellow judges in the D.C. Circuit.

In a statement Saturday, Henderson acknowledged the complaints and said they centered on statements Kavanaugh made during his Senate confirmation hearings.

Brief Summary: Count One: Manafort conspired with Gates and Konstantin Kilimnik to act—and he acted—as an agent of the Government of Ukraine, the Party of Regions (the pro-Putin party) between at least 2006 and 2015. To hide income from his Ukraine work, Manafort, with the assistance of Gates and Kilimnik, laundered money through at least 2016. $75,000,000 flowed through his off shore accounts. Manafort is forfeiting much of his wealth. Count Two: In 2018, Manafort, Kilimnik & others conspired to corruptly interfere with the truthful testimony of Persons D1 and D2. In plain language: They tried to get D1 and D2 to lie.

Why it Matters: Trump hired Manafort to manage his campaign AFTER Manafort had, for years, been working as an agent for the pro-Putin Party of Regions. While serving as campaign manager, Manafort was busy laundering millions in dirty Ukranian-Russian money. In 2018 he was trying to get witnesses to lie. Matters mostly because it shows Manafort in a close partnership with Konstantin Kilimnik all the way through 2018. Mostly it matters because Manafort knows A LOT about the Russia-Trump connection. He was at the June 2016 meeting, for example.
