Empowerer's JournalIs anyone watching Tulsi Gabbard on Hardball?
OMG.
Trashing American foreign policy under Obama and tacitly making excuses for Trump and Kim.
As I said, OMG.
OMG! Kamala Harris said Donald Trump's a racist! How DARE she ...
say out loud what everyone with a brain and ears knows for a fact.
What's up with those tax returns?
And why, at this stage of the game, do you "still have to do a few little things to check 'em out"?

Washington Post says Mueller report coming in days
The special counsels investigation has consumed Washington since it began in May 2017, and it increasingly appears to be nearing its end, which would send fresh shock waves through the political system. Mueller could deliver his report to Attorney General William P. Barr next week, according to a person familiar with the matter who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive deliberations.
Regulations call for Mueller to submit to the attorney general a confidential explanation as to why he decided to charge certain individuals, as well as who else he investigated and why he decided not to charge those people. The regulations then call for the attorney general to report to Congress about the investigation.
An adviser to President Trump said there is palpable concern among the presidents inner circle that the report might contain information about Trump and his team that is politically damaging, but not criminal conduct.

WP: Self-proclaimed white nationalist planned mass terror attack
A U.S. Coast Guard lieutenant and self-identified white nationalist has been arrested after federal investigators uncovered a cache of weapons and ammunition in his Maryland home that authorities say he stockpiled to launch a massive domestic terror attack targeting politicians and journalists.
Christopher Paul Hasson called for focused violence to establish a white homeland and dreamed of ways to kill almost every last person on earth, according to court records filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland. Though court documents do not detail a specific planned date for an attack, the government said he had been amassing supplies and weapons since at least 2017, developed a spreadsheet of targets that included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and searched the Internet using phrases such as best place in dc to see congress people and are supreme court justices protected.
The defendant intends to murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country, the government said in court documents filed this week, arguing that Hasson should stay in jail awaiting trial.

Why is Bernie Sanders running for the Democratic nomination since he's not a Democrat?
If he, after all this time, doesn't want to BE a Democrat, why is he running in our primaries?
CNN: Boston-area DA ready to investigate claims against Fairfax
Rollins sent a letter to Vanessa Tyson's attorneys last week saying her office will investigate if Tyson chooses to file a criminal complaint against Fairfax, Jake Wark, a spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins' office confirmed to CNN. The Boston Globe first reported the letter by Rollins.
Rollins told CNN in a statement her office is "ready, willing and able" to help and prepared to deal with the situation on Tyson's terms.
Tyson has previously said that she is not interested in pursuing criminal charges against Fairfax, but did not respond to CNN's request for comment after Rollins' statement. Tyson's attorneys have yet to respond to the offer from Rollins.

Politico: Second woman who accused Fairfax of assault was subject of 2008 restraining order
This doesn't mean she's lying or that she wasn't assaulted by Fairfax. But is an example of why Fairfax is entitled to due process and not be treated as a rapist purely because someone said so.
A woman who alleged Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax raped her in college was accused of harassing and threatening a man she had a relationship with, according to Maryland court records.
The man sought and received a restraining order against Meredith Watson in July 2008, the records show.
In a petition for the restraining order, obtained by POLITICO, the man described an incident in which Watson was detaining me against my will missing [and] not letting me leave a vacation house in Corolla, North Carolina, and dented the trunk of his vehicle with her fist. In another instance, Watson showed up at his house stating she was going to kill herself and sent threatening text messages to the man, who had his sister come over to persuade her to leave, according to the document.
...
I am going to enjoy tearing you down just as much as you enjoyed tearing me down. Hang on tight because you are in for a ride! read one of the alleged text messages that the man transcribed on the petition.

Why are people twisting themselves into knots defending Northam's indentured servant remark
I don't care whether he was technically accurate about some Africans being indentured servants. What did indentured servants have to do with what he was talking about or why he's in such hot water?
When he smeared on blackface and posed grinning next to the guy in the KKK outfit, he wasn't harkening back to a time when white people mocked, demeaned, terrorized, and murdered former indentured servants.
The entire racist Jim Crow culture that Northam voluntarily made himself complicit in was was created and perpetuated in order to stigmatize and subjugate former slaves and their descendants - to impose on them a permanent "badge of inferiority" intended to maintain their inferior status and thereby justify the institution of slavery.
Therefore, bringing up indentured servitude in a discussion about racism and his own racist behavior was a deflection ... but one that, given the fervent defenses some people are eagerly offering, seems to have been effective.
