CALL THE WAAABULANCE: Curt Schilling WHINES That He Didn't Get Into The Baseball Hall Of Fame Because He's A Republican




(Washington Post) Schilling said of Smoltz on WEEI’s “Dennis and Callahan” show Wednesday. “The fact that they won 14 straight pennants I think… his Swiss Army knife versatility… I think he got a lot of accolades for that, I think he got a lot of recognition for that and he’s a Hall of Famer so — and I think the other big thing is, I think he’s a Democrat, and so… I know that as a Republican that there’s some people that really don’t like that.” -- Only problem with that "theory", John Smoltz is an even bigger wingnut than Schilling, campaigning for both Ralph Reed and Karen Handel in Georgia. Doh.

Mitt Rmoney Redux! - Jeb Bush MAY RELEASE Tax Returns To AVOID His Romney Problem




LOL!...Jeb 'It's-My-Turn' Bush 'MAY' release his Tax Returns...........ya riiiiiight!..........



Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) is reportedly looking to avoid the Mitt Romney tax return treatment by strongly considering at least a decade (and maybe more) of tax returns. Bush, who made a number of steps that point to him running for president in 2016 (most recently creating a political action committee called "Right To Rise&quot is ready to release a large amount of of records returning his tax returns, according to Politico. The move is likely to prevent him from being likened to Romney who was dogged throughout much of the 2012 presidential campaign for refusing to release any of his tax returns before relenting somewhat and releasing only two years worth of records (Democrats, unsurprisingly, were not satisfied).

The effort is meant in large part to eliminate comparisons to 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney, who waited until September of 2012 to release just two years of tax returns after months of pressure from Democrats and even members of his own party to be more open about his extensive wealth.

The move, according to Politico citing associates of Bush, would be to prevent similar treatment to Romney who dragged his feet about releasing tax returns that detailed his immense wealth in 2012. They say he also hopes to create contrast with Hillary Clinton, who is the perceived frontrunner on the Democratic side in 2016 and whose husband has amassed wealth through the Clinton Foundation. Republicans plan to press the Clintons on financial disclosure of the nonprofit. Bush has already made strides on the transparency front by announcing the release of 250,000 emails from his time as governor of Florida (the emails got media attention before they were released through the Democratic opposition group American Bridge).


One of the first moves Bush has made as he's inched toward running for president in 2016 has been to resign and disconnect himself from a number of financial dealings and boards including as BH Global Aviation, which was described in an extensive Bloomberg piece on Bush's fraught financial dealings as a "new offshore private equity fund." The move was also seen as an effort to avoid the Romney treatment of being labeled an out of touch super wealthy politician.

NAACP Legal Defense Fund FILES A POTENTIAL GAME CHANGER In The Case Against Darren Wilson





At a time when most people have given up on any semblance of justice for slain Ferguson teenager Mike Brown, Sherrilyn Ifill and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund have made what may be the biggest game changing request in the case yet. According to Missouri law, a Missouri Circuit Court Judge has the power to appoint a Special Prosecutor in any case in which a citizen has not yet been indicted and prosecutorial misconduct is alleged. The judge with jurisdiction in the case against former Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson is Maura McShane.

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund, in their open letter to McShane, makes an extremely compelling case for misconduct by St. Louis Prosecutor Bob McCullough and his staff. In the nine-page letter, Ifill and the NAACP LDF thoroughly detail three instances of misconduct. One is enough to appoint a special prosecutor.


In summary the letter details the following:

1. How prosecutors violated Missouri law and professional ethics for calling a witness they've since admitted they knew did not witness the shooting and was not at the scene. They not only called her once, but twice, and encouraged her to bring physical evidence on her second visit. This witness, Sandy McElroy, perjured herself over 100 times.

2. Prosecutors consistently made documented mistakes in the essential instructions they gave to the grand jurors. MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell masterfully details one such mistake here.

3. Legal analysts and now an actual member of the grand jury felt strongly that Bob McCulloch and his team acted as de facto defense attorneys for Darren Wilson and that it often appeared as if Mike Brown was on trial instead of Darren Wilson.

The DEVIL In Mike Huckabee




Enter another reTHUG, Bible thumping fathead-grifter readying to increase his real estate value once again........

First, however, I want to address those who are simply dismissing Huckabee as having zero chance of securing the GOP nomination in 2016. They are wrong. Sure, recent polls have Jeb Bush leading the GOP field. But Bush is as exciting to many conservatives as Hillary Clinton is to many progressives, meaning not so much. They are both viewed in essence like eating Brussels sprouts. Sure, you knew it’s good for you, but it’s not exciting. But Huckabee (akin to Elizabeth Warren on the left) is like an ice cream sundae. They excite people, and primaries tend to be dominated by voters who are the most excited. And keep in mind that when Huckabee ran for president in 2008, he won the Iowa caucuses. He also did well in other early primaries such as in Missouri, which he lost by 1 percent to the Brussels sprout of that field, John McCain.

Plus the GOP electorate has become more conservative since 2008. In 2012, 50 percent of those who voted in the first batch of GOP presidential contests were Evangelical Christians, up from 44 percent in 2008.This bodes well for Huckabee in early primary states like Missouri, Colorado, and Minnesota, where the like-minded Rick Santorum won in 2012. Bottom line: Huckabee is for real. At least from an electoral point of view. But who is the real Huckabee is another question.

Now let’s meet “Mr. Huckabee,” whose views on a range of issues are truly frightening – I’m talking hide the children and grab a pitchfork scary. Here’s a sample:

1. Huckabee wants Christian sharia law: Huckabee stated during his 2007 presidential campaign that we can’t change the Bible to line up with society’s “contemporary view,” instead we “should amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards.” Do you think he really wants to stone to death woman who aren’t a virgin on their wedding night like it mandates in the Bible?

2. Gays are a health hazard: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1207/7270.html" target="_blank">Huckabee stated that “homosexuality is an aberrant, unnatural, and sinful lifestyle, and we now know it can pose a dangerous public health risk.”

3. The Sandy Hook shooting is our fault: Huckabee blamed the horrific killing of 26 people, including 20 children, at the Sandy Hook elementary school in 2012 not on gun violence or even the act of a crazed gunman. Instead he said it was because “we’ve systematically removed God from our schools” and as a result we should not be “surprised that schools have become a place for carnage.”

4. AIDS insanity: When running for the US Senate in 1992, Huckabee called for a quarantine of people who had AIDS. He also decried increased government funding for AIDS research, instead suggesting that money should come from “multimillionaire celebrities, such as Elizabeth Taylor [and] Madonna,” who should be encouraged to “give out of their own personal treasuries.” In 2007, Huckabee said he stood by these earlier remarks, but would phrase them differently.

5. Michael Brown had it coming: In December, Huckabee told us that Michael Brown would be alive if he acted "like something other than a thug." He added that he was “disgusted” by politicians and athletes who flashed the “hands up, don’t shoot” gesture.

6. Gay marriage makes Jesus cry: In 2013, Huckabee called gay marriage an “unholy pretzel” that has turned “holy matrimony” into a “perversion.” Huckabee also tweeted that “Jesus wept” over the 2013 US Supreme Court decision striking down DOMA. And Huckabee even said in September that he doesn’t care if he is on "the wrong side of history," as long as he is “on the right side of the Bible" when it comes to gay marriage.

7. Sorry if you are already sick: Not only does Huckabee oppose Obamacare, he opposed the one provision that most people like, namely that health insurers shouldn’t be able to deny coverage to those with preexisting medical conditions.

8. Ignore court decisions/laws that God wouldn’t like: This past September, while speaking of abortion laws and gay marriage court decisions, Huckabee declared that we should not accept “ungodly” judicial rulings that “will cause us to have to stand before God with bloody hands."



Sure, there are other Huckabee comments I could highlight, like his famous one from last January about women’s libidos, or how Martin Luther King, Jr. would be standing with him in fighting against marriage equality, but I think you get it by now. Mr. Huckabee far overshadows his kinder, gentler Gov. Huckabee.

Jeb Bush Says State Governments SHOULD BE ABLE TO DISCRIMINATE Against Americans




But,..but,...but.......IT'S MY TURN!.........




Most Americans understand that we live in a single nation, united under a single Constitution, which is the highest law of all the land. We understand that every other law in the USA must comply with the Constitution. We recognize the authority of the 14th amendment to the Constitution, which reads:

“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”


A minority of Americans, however, likes to pretend that the 14th amendment to the Constitution does not exist. They like to believe that the United States of America is a confederacy, like back in the early days right after the Revolution, or as it was under the Confederate States of America. Unfortunately, among this deluded minority of regressive Americans is Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush. The state government of Florida has worked to promote discrimination against gays and lesbians for a long time. Recently, however, gay and lesbian Floridians decided that they’d had enough. Same-sex marriage is legal and working well in the majority of the United States, and so loving same-sex couples in Florida came together to legally challenge Florida’s discriminatory prohibition on marriage for gay and lesbian couples.


Florida’s gays and lesbians pointed out that Florida’s ban on same-sex marriage is a violation of the 14th amendment to the Constitution guarantee of equality under the law. Federal Judge Robert L. Hinkle pointed out that they were right, and instructed Florida state officials to stop discriminating against gays and lesbians. Most Americans understand this. Nobody can require people to approve of gay or lesbian marriages, but then, that’s not the point. Plenty of heterosexuals disapprove of other heterosexual marriages, but that doesn’t give them the power to legally prohibit other heterosexuals from getting married. Neither does it give state governments the power to decide, according to the private opinion of politically-connected elites, which couples get to marry and which ones don’t.


Jeb Bush doesn’t get it. Commenting on the decision by Judge Hinkle to enforce the 14th amendment to the Constitution, Bush declared that the 14th amendment simply shouldn’t apply to gay and lesbian Americans. Jeb Bush told reporters that he thinks that the decision to discriminate against gays “ought be a local decision. I mean, a state decision.” In 2016, we need to elect a President who understands that it ought never to be a state or local government decision to discriminate against anybody.


Maybe if we say it slowly, Jeb Bush will understand:

Discrimination – is – just – plain – wrong.

If It Wasn’t For 9/11, REPUBLICANS WOULD BE OBSOLETE





Americans should be reminded every freakin day that 9/11, torture & the financial ripoff happened
on the REPUBLICAN's WATCH!!.......now, they're coming for more.



Consider George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Rudy Giuliani, and Ann Coulter. What do they all have in common, besides the fact they are rabid conservatives who have contributed nothing positive to our country? They all became more prominent, and held higher power and prestige after the September 11, 2001 attacks. While America picked up the pieces of that terrible day, they rose above it all to become the mitochondria of the right. Because of those horrific attacks (which were the result of Republican-led negligence):


1. George W. Bush’s popularity soared to 90%, setting the stage for two wars and a re-election, which was centered around combating global terrorism to prevent “another 9/11.”


2. Dick Cheney launched a war on morality and international law with the use of torture, all in the name of preventing another 9/11. Now our national standing is forever stained.


3. Rudy Giuliani “united” New York City after 9/11, catapulting him into the national spotlight as a conservative hero against terrorism. Now, Giuliani has rendered himself irrelevant with his race-baiting and paranoia. Because of his fame from 9/11, we will be stuck with him until the day he dies.


4. Ann Coulter became internationally “relevant” with her “invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity” comments regarding Muslims. She also took it upon herself to make fun of the 9/11 widows who she thinks are “enjoying their husband’s deaths so much.” Like Giuliani, she has rendered herself irrelevant.



All of these Republicans rose in the ranks of national prominence because of 9/11. Their careers benefited because they kept a tight grip on America with constant fear-mongering and rising nationalism. In their mantra, if you dissented against them, you were a traitor and a terrorist sympathizer. They kept getting elected and they kept getting their spots on TV because people were frightened. The American people wanted to be reassured that 9/11 would never happen again, and the ones who were the best at post-9/11 propaganda were the Republicans. Because of 9/11, Republicans were back in business, and for a long time. As the United States naturally becomes more progressive with a younger population and an influx of forward-thinking immigrants, the GOP would virtually be obsolete if it wasn’t for that terrible September day.



Speaking of immigrants, you can thank post-9/11 Republicans for our flawed and stagnated immigration system. Because of their propaganda surrounding foreigners, we needed to put more money in the border, send everyone back, and close our borders because of “terrorism.” Yes, the two middle aged parents with their three small children fleeing Mexico are in the same boat as ISIS and the cartels, according to the GOP. If they were brown, they weren’t welcome. If you’re not white, you might as well be a terrorist. This rise in latent racist nationalism continues today, even as President Obama uses his executive authority to fix our broken immigration system. It’s no wonder why so many conservative Americans are hostile to anyone foreign.



The events also beautifully lined the pockets of the GOP (and almost bankrupted the country) with their two wars to “fight” terrorism, which greatly benefited their political machine. And why wouldn’t you be for the war? If you weren’t for “getting the terrorists,” you supported 9/11. The Republicans actually had us convinced there for awhile. According to Gallup Polling, between March 2003 to July 2005, the majority of Americans supported sending our troops to Iraq. After that, America quickly grew war weary. But now here we are, 14 years after those terrible attacks and the GOP thinks they’re making a comeback. Cheney and Giuliani are appearing on almost every Sunday show, spewing their “we gotta’ get the terrorists” talking points. People are still listening to them, even though they have been conclusively proven wrong.
