The GOP suicide pact continues:

The reason I posted this was adding Telemundo and CNN Espanol. They know that without Hispanic-Americans and other minorities they are doomed as a party. Maybe they don't won't to expose them to their idiocy. However, just by excluding them no matter what the reason, it appears to be another snub.

RNC's NBC, CNN boycott will extend to Telemundo, CNN Espanol

In a highly anticipated move, the Republican National Committee voted unanimously on Friday to deny NBC and CNN the rights to host or sponsor a Republican primary debate unless those two networks cancel their respective Hillary Clinton film projects.

"CNN and NBC anchors will just have to watch on their competitors’ networks," RNC chairman Reince Priebus told the committee members in Boston.

While NBC and CNN's competitors stand to benefit from the RNC's decision, there's another potential winner who has gone unmentioned: Univision.

On Friday, RNC communications director Sean Spicer told POLITICO that the boycott would extend to NBC and CNN's Spanish-language channels: Telemundo and CNN Español.

"My understanding is that they both would be excluded," Spicer wrote in an email.

Jeebus! She is crazy.
However, they probably didn't chase her because they didn't want to hear her voice at a louder level.

Judge sides with abortion opponent over alleged threat:"Bomb threat is free speech"

WICHITA — An abortion opponent’s letter to a Wichita doctor saying someone might place an explosive under her car is constitutionally protected speech and not a “true threat” under existing law, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Judge J. Thomas Marten summarily found in favor of Angel Dillard in the 2011 civil lawsuit brought by the Justice Department under a law aimed at protecting access to abortion services. The 25-page decision handed down comes after a flurry of sealed filings seeking summary judgment.

The judge wrote that the government supplied no evidence that actual violence against Dr. Mila Means was likely or imminent.
<snip>
Dillard wrote in her letter that thousands of people from across the nation were scrutinizing Means’ background and would know “your habits and routines.”

“They know where you shop, who your friends are, what you drive, where you live,” the letter said. “You will be checking under your car every day <0x2014> because maybe today is the day someone places an explosive under it.”

The judge noted in his decision that Dillard sent the letter openly with her return address on it.
<snip>
The judge also rejected the government’s request for a permanent injunction prohibiting Dillard from again contacting Means. He was persuaded by the defense argument that she would have no reason to do so since Means no longer has any plans to offer abortion services in Kansas.

The court also noted the government’s argument that Means had refrained from contacting Means while the lawsuit was pending.

“If the glare of publicity and the prospect of additional government legal action are sufficient by themselves to prevent further communications by Dillard, they would remain even in the absence of separate injunction relief,” the judge wrote. “That is, the government effectively concedes that Dillard is a rational person, at least in sensing the folly of additional communications with Dr. Means.”

Elvis permanently left the building 36 years ago today:

When he was young, he was the best.
Many musicians who came after him cite him as one of their main influences. People who only remember the fat Elvis in white playing Vegas missed the greatest work from him.

I also remember the young Elvis who reported for his Army induction and was stationed in Germany. His hair cut was national news. Those who served with him had no complaints. He was one of them.

RIP Jailhouse Rocker!

The Prophets Of Oak Ridge (Fascinating story about break-in & people on both sides)

(This is a very long but fascinating read. The author did extensive interviews with many people. It is a window into Oak Ridge, our nuclear arsenal, and those involved on both sides. There is also info about about the guards who were first on scene and their consequences)

Mission
The devil was just over Pine Ridge.

From the deserted parking lot on the edge of town, the three servants of God looked into darkness.

They clicked on their flashlights, pushed through the initial thicket of brush and began their trek, aiming for the black wooded slope.

First, the house painter: bearded, calm, quiet.

Second, the Catholic nun: gentle, grandmotherly, short of breath.

Third, the drifter: alert, intense, shouldering supplies.

They crept across the marshy field, led by some combination of God and Google Maps. Behind them was the city of Oak Ridge, Tenn., 30 minutes west of Knoxville. On the other side of Pine Ridge was Bear Creek Valley — cradle of the Y-12 National Security Complex, the “Fort Knox of Uranium,” birthplace of the heart of the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima 67 years earlier.

It was, the house painter would later recall, as if the Almighty were guiding each step, across 1,000 feet of open field and up an embankment.

By 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012, two career peace activists, with eight years jail time between them, and an 82-year-old nun had reached the first obstacle in their two-hour, one-mile hike toward one of the country’s most secure nuclear facilities.Last summer, in the dead of night, three peace activists penetrated the exterior of Y-12 in Tennessee, supposedly one of the most secure nuclear-weapons facilities in the United States. A drifter, an 82-year-old nun and a house painter. They face trial next week on charges that fall under the sabotage section of the U.S. criminal code. And if they had been terrorists armed with explosives, intent on mass destruction? That nightmare scenario underlies the government’s response to the intrusion. This is the story of two competing worldviews, of conscience vs. court, of fantasy vs. reality, of history vs. the future.
<snip>
Much more:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/style/2013/04/29/the-prophets-of-oak-ridge/

The government threw the book at them because they were embarrassed. In addition, they wouldn't plea bargain. The whole hot mess was then aired all over again.

Whoa! Instructions from the Bible on how to perform an abortion:

Numbers 5:11-31
The Test for an Unfaithful Wife

11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him 13 so that another man has sexual relations with her, and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act), 14 and if feelings of jealousy come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure— 15 then he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of a tenth of an ephah[a] of barley flour on her behalf. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, a reminder-offering to draw attention to wrongdoing.

16 “‘The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord. 17 Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water. 18 After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder-offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse. 19 Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you. 20 But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”

“‘Then the woman is to say, “Amen. So be it.”

23 “‘The priest is to write these curses on a scroll and then wash them off into the bitter water. 24 He shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse, and this water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering will enter her. 25 The priest is to take from her hands the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the Lord and bring it to the altar. 26 The priest is then to take a handful of the grain offering as a memorial offering and burn it on the altar; after that, he is to have the woman drink the water. 27 If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. 28 If, however, the woman has not made herself impure, but is clean, she will be cleared of guilt and will be able to have children.

29 “‘This, then, is the law of jealousy when a woman goes astray and makes herself impure while married to her husband, 30 or when feelings of jealousy come over a man because he suspects his wife. The priest is to have her stand before the Lord and is to apply this entire law to her. 31 The husband will be innocent of any wrongdoing, but the woman will bear the consequences of her sin.’”

The Seattle Police Department Will Be Handing Out Doritos At A Pot Festival:

Frito-Lays is going to get a lot of unexpected free publicity this weekend.

The Seattle Police Department will be handing out 1,000 free 1-ounce bags of Doritos to marijuana enthusiasts at the city's Hempfest on Saturday. It's called "Operation Orange." But really.

One ounce is the maximum legal amount of recreational weed a person can have under the state's new legislation.

The Doritos will also come with a note encouraging people to visit the SPD "Marijwhatnow" online FAQ to learn about initiative 502, which allows the 21-plus crowd to carry recreational pot or edibles.

And if you think that's hilarious, check out the SPD's Twitter handle. It's social media marketing gold!

Here are some of their funniest tweets (often with accompanying pics) to the public.

The Navy's Hilarious(?) 'Terrorist Dating Site' Commercial Pairs Jihad With Web Security

The Navy's Hilarious 'Terrorist Dating Site' Commercial Pairs Jihad With Web Security

A YouTube video uploaded to the official channel of the Navy Information Operations Command at Norfolk warns service members of the dangers of posting operationally sensitive information on the internet.

The video is part of an OPSEC campaign. OSPEC, military speak for Operational Security, is any information, classified or otherwise, that couple jeopardize military operations or the safety of U.S. service members.

But rather than a boring video about the dangers of tweeting deployment details, the Navy created a funny dating commercial spoof of a terrorist whose hobbies include painting, football, and searching Facebook to check for U.S. military members' status updates.

Take a look. His name is Hakim, and he's a Scorpio:
