They wanted this to be their Reichstag fire moment

But instead they got played.

Agreed!

One of the best I’ve ever seen.

Excellent point

Was listening to NPR a couple of weeks ago...

A standard story came in that started with the standard lede, “President Trump said today that...”. I truly don’t remember what Trump’s assertion was, but I do remember that it was a blatant lie.

I remember thinking that was too bad NPR didn’t finish with a standard disclaimer such as”, As is normal, the President is completely full of shit...”.

Or “lying his ass off”, “taken leave of his senses”, “demonstrates no respect for the truth”...

I just wish they would note when he is lying...which is almost all of the time.

None of this should matter in this context

I’m having so many problems with the narrative that Dallas Morning News and other local news outlets are trying to establish.

The key point is that he was in his apartment.

At this point, Amber Guyger, is no longer a cop. She is an armed home invader. The assertion that she fired because he failed to obey verbal commands is insane.

She is in his apartment.

Neighbors have testified that they heard banging on a door then gun shots.

This most likely means that the door wasn’t open and was opened by Jean.

Police can only use the “didn’t respond to verbal commands” if they are acting as police.

Something is really, really wrong with Amber Guyger’s story.

This can't be real

Who put this out? Surely not the Cruz campaign.

My sincerest sympathies

Saying goodbye to a beloved member of your family is incredibly hard and painful. Just know that you’re doing the right thing.

So very sorry for your loss.

There's a big caveat here

The ethos he is expressing only applies to Democrats.

Amazing

There is something wrong with a lot of the people that are police.

That this happened defies logic and belief. It is in the truest sense of the word, incredible.

An old woman is cutting dandelions with a knife. The first moment of incredulity is that someone thought that the appropriate response was to call the police. Dandelions are a weed. If someone wanted to weed my yard with a knife I wouldn’t call the police.

Then when the police show up they find an 87 year old woman who cannot speak English and they decided that since she won’t leave to Taze her and arrest her. 2nd moment of incredulity.

And, for the final stunner. The senior leadership of this police department defend what happened and tell the world that the responding cops were restrained and used the “least amount of force”.

AYFKM?

WTF?

Guess this poor old woman is lucky they didn’t open fire.

The police are being trained to use overwhelming force in almost every instance. This is insane.
