He was going down for the 3rd time and the Russians threw him a line.
On some level he could be forgiven for latching on to it. But when paying the debt off required him to run for President and betray the nation he seems to have done it without qualms.
He is a traitor and probably doesn’t see what’s wrong with what he has done.

He has done more to juice their online subscriptions than any marketing campaign could have.
I live in Dallas and subscribe to the Dallas Morning News because any newspaper is important these days. But I rely on the Washington Post and New York Times for the real news.
DMN just fails to report on many things or buries important stories on the back pages. WP and NYT lead with what is going on. Neither is perfect (someone at NYT seems to be protecting Trump), but their reporters do some great journalism.
Binary choice
Trump voters are either stupid or evil. Those are the choices.
The people I know that voted for Trump are stupid not evil.
Many of them have repented at this point, but too little, too late.
