Except when they voted in our trifecta: A woman governor and two women senators, all three pro-choice, pro-LGBT rights, pro-safety net, firm believers in the separation or church and state, etc. but all Catholic.

Most Catholics I know strongly support secular public services, schools and unions and never bring up religion. This rocked my world. Thought we were all godless Secularists carrying the load by ourselves.

Pundits gotta live, paycheck to paycheck. I'm not absolute about any of these stories, but looking to the intent and the fellow travellers, I can't help but wonder. In the long run, I don't care about it. Just another Benghazi for the headlines.

I do not believe in any form of commerical 'free' speech since it ain't free. I'm more likely to believe the crudest concotion by an unpaid individual on the net than a media 'repeater.' And those who jump in with the word 'lie' all sound like that rightwing rethug who shouted 'liar' at the SOTU. IOW, they use loaded words to convey an idea of no caliber.

Regarding Syria, a lof of the media failed EarlG's multiple choice question. Their filter is set to one thing and it is always negative to Obama, Democrats, and government in general, just like the Koch brothers and the GOP. The answer will be 'A' no matter what the question is:

President Obama Makes Surprise Call To Gail O'Brien

President Obama made a surprise call yesterday to Gail O'Brien, a woman in Keene, NH, who is benefiting from the Affordable Care Act, which was passed six months ago today. Gail was previously uninsured and diagnosed with high grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Thanks to the new law, Gail now has insurance through the new Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan that will pay for her treatments, and she is responding very well.

That was September 2010 before the midterms. Want to talk about conspiracy? What was on the air the entire year?

The Tea Party and their astroturf protests about the horrors of the ACA and Death Panels, etc. is what all the cable networks went with instead of telling the truth, giving Americans some information they could use.

The 2010 elections were a set up from the Koch brothers to lie about the ACA, Keystone and the Bush tax cuts. That led to the Sequester and all the rest. And we are still fighting the lies about Obama and Obamacare after all of this time.

When a floor is established to support basic human needs, the minimum wage, housing, jobs, health, education, food, the quality of air and water, it does the opposite of conservatives claim. .

They say it impoverishes others who have all those things to pay for those who aren't deserving of them, and they employ an entire industry convincing the voters of that falsehood. If all poverty and all it entails, was eliminated, there would be no whip of fear to lash the middle and working class.

They must keep up inequality to make division. Really, there is no way to divide us when we accept each other. That is unity and it requires we love each other and see others as good as ourselves.

The ripple effect of bankruptcies for medical costs, lost employment from illness and deaths to feed vulture capitalism. Stealing their chance for advancement, homes and lives, leaving their next of kin disadvantaged for years and for further preying upon.

The GOP preys upon the weak egos of those who do not feel they can compete with those they now disdain, so they screw others by their votes.

Americans lost their identity to a commercial culture to value dead things which do not last as they discount iving ones. That's why the media is so very powerful, to keep the American people in that box.

The media is not producing ideas to inspire thinkers or philosophers, or even those who are marginally aware of the true value of their time and their lives. If they were, they'd settle down and devote their efforts to things to benefit future generations. Their vision is tiny:

Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it's only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.

Authorities announced Wednesday they have filed charges against 73-year-old Harold Leroy Herr. He's charged with kidnapping, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other counts. Police say he took the girl as she played in the yard Thursday in Lancaster Township.

She was rescued two hours later when police in nearby Manheim Township say two teenage boys spotted her inside a car. They began following on bicycles; police say the driver stopped and let her out before driving off.

Investigators say Herr is a registered sex offender who served time for abducting and raping another 5-year-old girl in 1989. He was in custody Wednesday and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
