Irony died on the long ago. They can't see themselves in the mirror, like their vampire heroine Ayn.

Loved the Salon piece and the tweet embedded in it:

"My Name Is Charles Koch, And I Am A Whiny Ass Titty Baby."

Wealth is wasted upon the rich, as their comfortable life with others waiting on them breeds infantilism. As spoilt brats, they look no further than their own wishes. They don't have any good ideas of what to do with money, they fail every time.

Well said. Welcome to DU, doxydad. A president once said:

Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves, and the only way they could do this is by not voting.

This is what we see, but it doesn't get media time. Only dire warnings and alarms. We are slowly,

without fanfare or credit, increasing the happiness index, and the creativity that comes from the freedom to be on the same level as we need to be for that right.

It was posted some time back how the Scandinavian nations had better start up opportunities because they were not saddled with a healthcare bureaucracy that was all about profit, nothing else, no rules, just the way the GOP wanted it to be.

And to keep people in the FUD so they'd put up with abuse on so many levels. At one time, unions gave their workers the freedom to stand as equals with the rich, then the eighties came and income equality and worker abuse became the way people expected to be treated, even if they were not the predators. Some saw their misery as ennobling, but playing the eternal victim is a losing strategy.

Now we are going to leave Ayn Rand and her accolytes in the trash bin of fictional reality where they belong. More to human needs and doing the right thing for all, more to the achievement of living up to what we say we value, and what ideals we are willing to make reality.

That's a great change, to stop treating people, their time and life as just another commodity, the property of free marketeers to bleed to death and discard.

Thanks for another uplifting thread full of facts and data we can use, ProSense.

Conservatives continue to play with their feces, see here:

Report on what Obama said:

In a speech to an enthusiastic crowd of 1,400 at the University of Michigan, Obama repeatedly mocked Republican ideas about how to improve the economy, as he touted his own proposal to raise the minimum wage.

Obama, who visited the local Zingerman’s deli before the speech, said that Republican proposals to cut taxes for wealthier Americans and federal investments in education, as well as replace his federal health-care program, would harm the economy.

The GOP has proposed the same ideas so many times, Obama said:

“It’s like that movie ‘Groundhog Day,’ except it’s not funny. If they tried to sell this sandwich at Zingerman’s, they’d have to call it the stinkburger or the meanwich.”

Thus the flying monkeys of the right had to let loose:

Conservative intellectual Ben Shapiro compares Obama to a poopburger and a booger-eater

By Anomaly

President Obama responded to the Republican budget proposal comparing it to a “stinkburger” or “meanwich” during a speech on Wednesday, while using a series of zingers, all of which was met with applause from an enthusiastic crowd. Rep. Paul Ryan thrilled his party, with the exception of Sarah Palin who didn’t think the budget was painful enough for the poor, with his plan to cut food stamps and of course, gift the wealthy with tax cuts while slashing direly needed programs.

This was his response to Obama's statements while promoting raising the minimum wage:

And he didn't stop there. He was really outraged:

With intellectual power like that at play, no wonder they need the Koch millions. Couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag. Some great comments at the link, such as this one:

...Well played, Ben. Now go have your mommy change your diaper. You’re ripe.

Holder dismissed their 'alleged religious beliefs' showing their true motives - money:

The Justice Department brief, authorized by Attorney General Eric Holder, emphasizes that the company formerly allowed “preventive services” within employee health insurance plans, dismissing the “alleged religious beliefs” of the company’s owners...

It was never about anything but money. Christians need to realize they have been conned by the right.

Darrell (R-Grand Theft Auto) Issa's response:

Issa Subpoenas Seven Million Americans Who Signed Up for Obamacare

April 1, 2014 - WASHINGTON

Accusing them of involvement in “a widespread conspiracy to save President Obama’s failed health-care program,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) today subpoenaed the approximately seven million Americans who have signed up for Obamacare so far.

Arguing that the impressive enrollment numbers “don’t pass the smell test,” the House Oversight Committee chairman told reporters, “Any rational person would come to the same conclusion that I have: namely, that this is a well-orchestrated conspiracy of seven million people trying to make Obamacare look good...”

'They Live' by John Carpenter. A science fiction cult classic about a guy finds a pair of sunglasses

that allow him to see aliens who are controlling mankind with a broadcast frequency coming from media station towers.

It hides how aliens from another planet really look, reveals the hidden messages in advertising and other media, explains their agenda and who supports them.

Some of my favorite clips are the ones showing the GOP mentality.

This one is the first guy who tells the duo searching the answer:

And another one, with more details of how they deceive:

It doesn't end well for the heroes, but things do change when people see through the trick. Released in 1988.

The results *are* the same, only the complaints vary. More and more, they want the same thing...

They just spin it differently.

All Democrats are seen as the enemy to both 'sides.' Fans of the 'left libertarians,' dismiss any and all complaints of the far rightwing views of their heroes.

They can't say 'Democrat' without the obligatory sneer in their voice. It shows a lot, don't even need the sunglasses:

Glenn Beck has a meltdown over positive reports on Obamacare numbers, “You rat bastards!”

That's the title at FreakOutNation. This part is at both websites:

Then, after an hour of ranting about Obama and the press and the Republicans, Beck finally snapped and declared that he is "not going to pay attention to these people any more, I am not going to waste my life," screaming that "I have a right to pursue my happiness, I have a right to do what I was born to do!"

"My state of mind is great," he concluded, "'cause I've had enough..."

Both FON and RWW have the videos of Beck raving and his employee agreeing with him...

From the comments, another gem:

Beck's last meltdown was after Obama was re-elected and now this, which shows that IRL, the Democratic Party and President are transforming the country.

Glennbeckistan is a whole 'nother country full of RWNJs, and feeling threatened by REALITY.
