So, Glenn. Still crying about Romney losing?

My Ten Favorite Kinds of Right-Wing Temper Tantrums

by Lindy West 11/08/12

I remember how I felt when George W. Bush was reelected in 2004 - that pit of absolute unthinkable, desparate despair - and so I guess I should have a little more sympathy for the 150 Million Waaahmbulances of the Apocalypse currently flailing all over Twitter. And, beyond that, I should probably be sad about the overt racism of our conservative youngsters and frightened at the gun-nuttiness of our gun nuts.

However. At least for right now, I AM NOT. I am just 99% completely fucking delighted by every single weepy right-wing temper tantrum. I can't stop hate-reading. I can't stop. And you know what?

I don't need to stop. It's not like this was some arbitrary election for Homecoming Court - where we were choosing between Mitt Romney's totally on-trend bangs and Barack Obama's ability to pull off a structured blazer.

The party that my team defeated on Tuesday was a nebulous, fiscally disastrous pitchfork mob - united by racism, xenophobia, self-interest, willful ignorance, hatred of the poor, and a puritanical desire to deny my gay friends their civil rights and me, PERSONALLY, equal access to health care and basic humanity. That's about as ungracious as it gets. So fuck being gracious.

That is sad. Bet he keeps himself jacked up with paranoia inducing media all day and night.

He needs help, a gun won't take care of what's ailing him. If you cannot find peace and confidence within yourself and have to buy a thing to come close, you are in bondage. No wonder they use the word and express their desire to not be slaves so much, as they are already slaves to fear.

An overt police presence is to be expected and planned for.

Even if you have a permit, there's never a short supply of assholery from any large gathering. Jesus the Meek is not out marching against himself. Those who are truly peaceful know how to behave.

Two thousand Libertarian douchebags with loaded rifles shaking their junk at law enforcement is pure dumbfuckery and not about peace or justice. They're playing 'I'm gonna do this just because I wanna and you can't make me, nyah, nyah.'

Everyone in Earth School will learn and those who insist on being petulant brats will be schooled, like it or not. The world is not kindergarten, and guns are not a game. Bringing the name of Occupy into this display of Libertarian tripe is a bit odd. All protests are not equal.

That was supposed to be 'can't' not 'can.' I was there for a demonstation against Nixon's bombing

escalation on Cambodia so it wasn't exactly the friendliest day with the police forces.

There were a hundred times more of us than these rifle toting fools as we went to Capitol to hear the Democratic speakers. Of course, we were unarmed because we were there for peace, and trained in non-violence techniques to handle anything that would occur, because things happen.

There were all kinds of police, (if IIRC, seven different kinds) on our tails the entire way until we dispersed to go home. As professional and they and the mounted police were, their presence was as strong and unavoidable as I imagine these yokels will learn there.

Tear gas was employed when some loud mouths went after the police on the fringe of the crowd. We weren't there for a pissing contest, but the police didn't put up with any crap. Those characters had bragged the night before how many times they'd been arrested and been bailed by their parents, and we avoided them like the plague. No one was going to bail us out and we were thousands of miles away from home and had jobs.

LOL at the unedited post, I often drop negatives in my sentences as I rush. It changes the meaning of the post. What I meant to say was that those cops won't be swayed by any shenanigans there.

Have you ever noticed that these guys all have the same look on their faces?

Their faces got stuck like this guy:
