freshwest's JournalThanks, Turborama. I found a half dozen posters praising Putin for the moral high ground.
I won't name names, but now we know which mainstream news sources they listen to and who are the voices in their heads. We already knew who their alternative sources were and where they acquired their ideology. Which they spew all over us daily here at DU. Who knows, this may be a good time to learn for all. As far as parroting RW talking points here, trying to dress them as liberal or Democratic, I can only say:
For the BOG: Lavrov, Kerry 'Agree On Need' For Syria Peace Conference
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry (right) and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confer during a press briefing at the State Department in Washington on August 9.
August 10, 2013
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says he and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have agreed on the need to start a Syrian peace conference in Geneva as soon as possible.
Lavrov made the remarks after talks in Washington on August 9 with Kerry.
Lavrov said he and Kerry agreed they should meet again by the end of August to prepare for the proposed Geneva talks.
Kerry said Russia and the United States needed to find ways to work around their differences on Syrias civil war, and to make progress on missile defense, Afghanistan, and nuclear disputes with Iran and North Korea.
The talks came as the political mood between Moscow and Washington hit a low point with U.S. President Barack Obama earlier this week canceling an upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Will those who called Kerry a sell-out, MIC stooge and warmonger now pull Kerry out from under the bus and call him a peacemonger?
Sadly, I doubt it. They'll be onto the next ignorant media hyped outrage.
Because the media has taught them it's cool and smart to go after Obama and that the Democrats don't care or don't know what they're doing.
So they stay in that zone since it's all they know, they can't fight it. Some people forgot that Obama won the election twice, for good reasons, about ideals that matter.
They are so used to losing from the Bush years, they are in a state of shock and can't leave that state of sputtering outrage. Like a dog that chased a car and caught it, they don't know how to handle a victory.

NOTICE:
This is posted in the BOG, or Barack Obama Group. Our SOP is to support Obama, Kerry and the Democratic Donkey they rode in on, just like the Kennedys, Warren and other great Democrats. You know the drill. TIA.
Dunning-Kruger Effect at work:
The DunningKruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes.[1]Actual competence may weaken self-confidence, as competent individuals may falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. David Dunning and Justin Kruger of Cornell University conclude, "the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others".[2]

I've found it to be true, as the most intelligent people I know are usually humble and open to listening, realizing there is so much to learn, that they cannot know it all.
Those who are arrogant and dismissive of seeking unpopular possibilities I have found on the other end of the scale, and are qutie sure of themselves. They have no reason to change their views, as they cannot maintain the neutral mental state to process information that might send them to find out more. They don't have respect for data or factual content, they decide quickly based on little knowledge what happens in front of them.
This can also be created by stress, narrowing the focus of awareness and causing the person to repeat the actions of others without thinking. I never discount it dealing with others. I know a stampede when I see one.
Okaaay! Please stand by and enjoy this message while we summon the bats:
Guano Apes - Proud Like A God
Have you ever been for sale?
When your isms get smart
Oh so selfish and mindless
With that comment in your eye
Do you think that you are hard?
Really harder than the other
Man you're acting cold
If you are not in charge
Don't split your mentality
Without thinking twice
Your voice has got no reason
Now is the time to face your lies
Open your eyes, open your mind
Proud like a God don't pretend to be blind
Trapped in yourself, break out instead
Beat the machine that works in your head
Will you offer me some tricks
If I ever need them
Would you go into that room
If I call 'em
Do you think that you are better
Really better than the rest
Realize there's a problem
I know that you can give your best
Have you ever had a dream?
Or is life just a trip?
A trip without chances
A chance to grow up quick
Open your eyes, open your mind...
Hide your face forever
Dream and search forever
Night and night you feel nothing
There's no way outside of my land
Open your eyes, open your mind...
Waaait! Waaaait! They've all been disappeared! OMG! The roundup finally happened! Martial Law!!!11!!
+1,000.
I tossed most of that into the event horizon of a black hole. Cleans the board up nicely.
Check the top two posts in my Journal for the latest on this... Breathing a sigh of relief...
And good reply to those who have been dismissive of those who do this work day in and out. Yes, some people are good at their jobs, aren't they?
