Hypocrisy or short term memory loss?

I just went on my morning jog through FReekshow and saw one thread whining about Pres. Obama's appearance at the Planned Parenthood fundraiser. Just a hop skip and a jump down there is another thread whining about feeding children in poverty.

How do they not see this as total hypocrisy? Throwing tantrums because our President supports the right to choose and then complaining about feeding poor children? Have these idiots had portions of their brain removed or were they born that way? Or, maybe they're just all sadistic freaks. Forcing women to give birth to children just to let them starve. If they don't starve, toss them in prison when they try to eat.

Yesterday I had some fruit loop try to tell me that his right to carry a gun supersedes a business owner's right to forbid weapons in their place of business. Claimed that he 'has lawyers' that threatened to sue a local grocery store until they took a sign down saying 'No Weapons Allowed'. Why the fuck are his rights more specialer and awesomer than anyone else's? Why is he such a lying sack of shit?

I need a vacation.

Why do RWNJs hate Texas?

I was just perusing FReekville and noticed that there is only one (visible) post regarding the Texas explosion that refers to Pres. Obama as an "attention whore". There are plenty of posts whining about Muslims, some Earth Day bashing, etc.

Nothing on Texas. I can't imagine why. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it wasn't a Muslim that killed all those people. It was greed. Victims of greed should be proud to die for the rich, I guess.

It isn't just FReekville. I've seen very few comments from my RW friends.

The downside of being a Democrat.

I'm worried about my sister. She lives in a flood zone in Chicago. Her house has flooded several times over the years even after they had a new drainage and sump installed. She's not young anymore and has some health issues. She's also a neurotic wreck most of the time. She hasn't answered my emails today. The flooding in Chicago is some of the worst I've ever seen.

And, I feel guilty. There are families in Texas that will never see their father, husband, brother, sister, etc. again. There are families in Boston that will never recover and people that will face years of rehabilitation and recovery only to be afflicted with PTSD.

I'm worried about my sister because she might lose more stuff. She's like my mother, more than my mother ever was. That doesn't make me feel better. At least I know she's relatively safe. Not maimed or burned. I know that I'll (hopefully) be able to see her this October.

I blame this guilt on being a Democrat. I don't come first. My feelings don't come first. My rights don't come first. Humanity and society is always first. Oh, and I can blame my sister, too. The old hippy raised me this way.

Gonna get me a BFF fix soon!

I have one close friend. I'm as anti-social as they come, so I don't collect people. My best friend lives less than 3 miles from me and I haven't seen her in almost 3 months.

We were whining at each other today about how much we miss each other. We have agreed to check our schedules and get together this month!

So, I went and bought her a pendant that I saw on Buddhagroove's FB page. It says 'No mud. No lotus.' Thought of her right away.

I'm so excited I had to share with my closest friends here in the Lounge!

She's the polar opposite of me. Republican, Barbie blonde, 8000 kids (actually 6, but whatever), flashy dresser, likes that chick music that makes me wanna off myself, watches stupid girl movies and keeps trying to get me to read these 'empowering wimenz' books. Yes, opposites attract and I love her to death.
