Last day to vote in my internet poll. Thank you again for all your support!

If they are going to have the voting open to the public them I'm campaigning...

If you could click over to The BlueCat Movie Title contest through the link below and vote for our script title:
TWAINS, TRAINS AND RIVERBOATS: THE ABSOLUTELY TRUE STORY OF HOW MARK TWAIN SAVED AMERICA,
You will need to scroll down.
It is alphabetically toward the bottom of the list of 100 quarter-finalists.
You don't need to register or anything.
There is a verifier where you have type in the letter combo you're shown but that's it.

I would appreciate it very much.

It's the summer the laughter died.

First Robin and now Joan Rivers.
They were two of my favorites.
They were inspirations to generations of comics, including myself.
RIP Joan.

Gov. McDonnell convicted: Looks like the GOP has a new 2016 Presidential front-runner.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2014-09-04/ex-virginia-governor-mcdonnell-convicted-in-corruption-trial

Robert F. McDonnell, the former governor of Virginia, was convicted along with his wife of charges he traded political influence for loans and gifts valued at more than $170,000.

Robert McDonnell, once seen as a possible Republican presidential contender in 2016, and his wife Maureen, a former Washington Redskins cheerleader, were accused of misusing state resources for the benefit of businessman Jonnie Williams. In exchange for helping Williams promote the dietary supplement Anatabloc, the cash-strapped McDonnells were showered with gifts such as private plane flights, golf trips and a $20,000 shopping spree for Maureen.

A federal jury of seven men and five women in Richmond, Virginia, in the third day of deliberations, today found the McDonnells guilty following a five-week trial.

Both Robert and Maureen McDonnell broke down and began sobbing as the guilty verdicts were read out. They face as long as 30 years in prison.

I live in LA but I've been on vacation in Central and Northern California

for the last week.
Driving, hiking and walking through the place reminds me that we have an incredible, beautiful state and we need to do all we can to preserve it.
From the beaches of Pismo to Napa Valley, it's been a fun and delicious week.
And wine, do we have wine....

Video cameras worn by every cop, every day. I want it.

So I signed the petition.
You can too.

Mike Brown Law. Requires all state, county, and local police to wear a camera.

Create a bill, sign into law, and set aside funds to require all state, county, and local police, to wear a camera. Due to the latest accounts of deadly encounters with police, We the People, petition for the Mike Brown Law. Create a bill, sign into law, and set aside funds to require all state, county, and local police, to wear a camera. The law shall be made in an effort to not only detour police misconduct(i.e. brutality, profiling, abuse of power), but to ensure that all police are following procedure, and to remove all question, from normally questionable police encounters. As well, as help to hold all parties within a police investigation, accountable for their actions.

Chuck Todd takes over Meet The Press. Because there wasn't enough bad news this week.

Bad news is Gregory keeps his job.
Worse news is Chuck Todd getting it.
At least they didn't pick Joe Scardouche.
Looks like I'm still sleeping til noon on Sunday mornings.

Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert could save Meet The Press. Who else could do it?

Not that Jon or Colbert are available but there has to be someone else with that skill set that could excite viewers and hold their own against our nation's politicians.
Who could NBC pick to get you to watch MTP?

GOODBYE DICK

GOODBYE DICK
It was forty years ago today.
Richard Nixon had to go away.
Hearings in the Senate it took,
Obstruction made him a crook.
President for a lot of years.
He resigned to lots of cheers.
Ever since the GOP's been mad,
Their guy's the one who went bad.
So evil they try to project,
on the one they don't elect.

About ZonkerHarris

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.
