badass president. He has let me down, he has encouraged me beyond belief. But he has used the executive branch of our government to do things I never would have thought possible during the darkest days of GWB. And his signature legislative acomplishment is already making a difference in the lives of people I love.

Just finished my first precinct door to door canvassing for Wendy Davis

This round concentrated on Democrats to recruit volunteers for the larger block walks and phone banks that are coming soon. People were very encouraged to see that Wendy is this organized this early and taking the fight to the enemy and excited about being part of it.

Disclaimer - I gave up posting for Lent but couldn't wait to share some encouraging news.

Been absent for a week due to Lent

See I missed the women studies porn star and much back and forth on Crimea. But the death of bartcop is the biggest news to me personally. The man's site kept me going in the dark days of the stolen 2000 election and the war of aggression against Iraq, when I saw my country morphing into something I didn't recognize. I will admit I stopped reading him as much when he was a Hillary man and I an Obama supporter. But Coppage was the shit. He was on the cutting edge of the early liberal blogger. He and Media Whores Online (the horse). I am deeply saddened by his passing and will send a donation to his family. I do not have the words to express how important his early work was to my mental health.
