Ok, this does it for me. This tells me...

...just how out of touch Biden is with the political divide in this country.

Lifelong Republicans may be the ones to watch...

If they've been lifelong Republicans, they might know a bit more about the Republican party and values than Trumpers know. Trumpers strike me as ignorant, mostly non-political people who have jumped on the bandwagon of a politician who sounds as ignorant as they are.

Yesterday I was talking with my dental hygienist. She told me her mom and dad both voted for 3rd party candidates in 2016, although her mom is a lifelong Democrat and her dad is a lifelong Republican. Neither could vote for Hillary Clinton. She told me her dad read Elizabeth Warren's book and now this lifelong Republican is a die-hard supporter of Warren. He says he trusts Warren above all candidates in either party. The good thing to note here is that Trump is not gaining any support. He's losing it. Independents are important but there are a lot of politically minded folks who care about their country that are not Trumpers. Those are the ones the Democrats need. Those people that are silent in political discussions? They're the ones.

Ok, someone please educate me...

This is reposted here as it was considered off-topic for general discussion. Moderator advised I repost in Democratic Primaries forum

I just read that Bloomberg is being attacked for using a "common racist trope" of calling Corey Booker "well-spoken". In addition, I recall a journalist on MSNBC recently saying something about how racist it is to call a person of color articulate.

Now, yes, I am white and maybe that's why I don't understand this. I understand that racism is woven into the fabric of our culture, through our language, traditions, and I want to help us heal from it too. But I do not understand why we cannot use these terms when referring to someone who has a great facility with language if they also happen to be a person of color.

When Barak Obama ran for president, George W. Bush was in office. How could anyone not notice that Obama was beautifully articulate, especially compared to the nincompoop Bush? I can remember hearing Obama's first speeches and listening to that beautiful voice and clarity of communication and his ability to impart understanding to his audience of very complex issues. Please help me understand why making the observation that he was articulate, eloquent, was racist? I think Elizabeth Warren is also articulate. Why is it okay to verbalized that, for her, but it's racist to make the same observation with someone of color? And can I say here without any racist intention, Corey Booker ALSO is very talented with helping people understand complex issues, one might even say he is well-spoken or articulate? Please help me.

Listen to C-Span radio before the gavel...

It's astounding how well people have managed to deceive themselves about this corrupt administration. Evidence that reality is completely subject: pick the story you want to live and run with it--reality will conform. Until the hammer falls.

I published my Christmas story on Kindle last week.

Anyone else write in multiple genres and publish on Kindle?

Tulsi's strategy...

Bash Hillary Clinton to make all the Trump voters think she's the only Democrat they can stomach. When she loses the nomination, Putin will fund her campaign as a Green or Independent like he did Jill Stein. That'll give delusional Trump voters someone to throw their vote away on, but take enough votes from the Democratic frontrunner to make it close enough to steal it for Trump again. I'm thinking maybe we shouldn't all be jumping on Tulsi G's back and calling attention to her, providing increased name recognition. Maybe I'm just being a nervous Nelllie, but I don't trust any of them.

Can someone please explain to me...

...if the Mueller report was a big "nothing burger," why is Bill Barr trying to shut down Congress getting the Grand Jury transcripts? If there is nothing there, shouldn't he be happy to have it served to the Congress? Wouldn't that further convince the base that the pres'dent is clean as a whistle?

$4.5 million a day, or $755 per person per day.

That’s what taxpayers are shelling out to detain families on the border. To a logical person, we could put these families up in extremely nice hotel rooms for that much. The Ritz-Carlton in NYC goes for $795 a day and I hear they supply shampoo, soap, showered and everything! Wonder who is making all the money off these detainees. Haven’t heard it discussed, but would be interesting to know.
