political party's have been corrupted by BIG money, both corporate and private, no argument. And that corruption is at the point that unless a major revulsion is experienced at the national political level(s) against big money influence this is how it is going to stay. Yet I still see the RW as the political motivator of this corruption of the worst kind. Yeah you can put democrats in that bag, sometimes, but a major problem TODAY is the RW, whether you want to admit it or not. RW media and money, makes the dumbed down, fox news believing, american, easy prey for RW lies. Promise heaven "if only you vote for me"!!! and give them nothing but more lies after vote is in. Entitlement this, immigrant that, urban problems out of control, fear the gays, keep women in their place, this is the RW mantra shouted continuously over and over to the highest heavens, yet all based on lies designed to keep us at each others throats. And while we're busy with each other, they are robbing us all. Nah, while the democratic party is culpable in the final analysis for some dubious compromises, NOT IN THE PEOPLES FAVOR, the RW is the one that will bring on the final destruction of the few freedoms we enjoy in this american life if allowed to control the reins of power again. They must be stopped at all cost. The RW media must be balanced with the emergence of LW thought permeating the airwaves. How? Only the democrats with the big money can do that. They must step up, all the artists, musicians, celebrities, progressive business people, if such exists calling themselves liberals must start fighting back with their combined big money. Lip service is over, start walking the walk so called progressives.
I won't even address the marijuana issue because you're right. Privatized prisons? A capitalistic abomination with no redeeming value. Prison's in this country have never rehabilitated, they have always been punitive punishment. While the more heinous criminal should be incarcerated and marginalized, the 'lesser' criminal, if I may, should be rehabilitated and helped to become a trusted citizen. I do understand where you are coming from and no major argument from me. The fascist RW must be marginalized again like we did with mcCarthy and his ilk. Every generation or so they rear their ugly heads and we have to push them back down into their rat holes.
I never liked and still
don't like and totally despise chris matthews. I was very upset with the events of 9/11 and even said saddam should be removed if responsible and has WMD's. When bush the lesser joked about looking for the WMD's, I knew then he and the rest has lied. Plus all of them blinked a lot when talking to the cameras. It was just a feeling. I was upset with the Rather incident at CBS and this one too. Rather told the truth and was fired. I knew then the fan had been turned on high and the BS was blowing everywhere. Saddam after capture was never allowed a public statement and his court statements led me to believe he had been drugged or something. The whole thing stunk to high heaven.

yet my point stands for the majority. I know america and what it has stood for, for MANY generations. Your photos are anomalous, not fact for a majority. But glad to see what your photos depict. When all law abiding people are allowed the same right without racism intruding, okay. Your point will be well founded. Bottom line with me is all this 'wild west' mentality verges on insane obsession. I do not agree with 'open carry'. It is a reflection of fear based in, most times, stupid rationalizations of perceived threat. Round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows. GUNS carried on every person is not a solution for a supposedly advanced civilized society to handle it's cultural problems. It's looks like we're headed that way and well...........

but my point(s) stand as fact for most if not all people of color, who are not police. Although even some of them have been 'mistaken' as dangerous because they had a concealed weapon and were black. You're still on a GUN RANGE that is a place where 'open carry' is always a fact. If a black or brown person were to walk into a restaurant, Target or a bank with a weapon, shouldered or holstered as so many want to point out as proper 'open carry' mode, he/she would be brought down one way or another by 'authorities. Just fact based on cultural precedent. Give me some photos of black men in proper 'open carry' mode, as I have seen of so many white men, in restaurants, stores, banks THEN I could believe that my perceptions of answers in this OP that try to deflect reality, is wrong. Otherwise.................my statement(s) stand as fact.
deflection is an
obvious tactic and art of enablers of false dichotomy when reality points to what the truth is. If a community of color were to all the sudden claim their right to open carry, I fear another 'Rosewood" would be in the offing.

what other choice will we have? I will hold my nose when pulling the lever for the Democratic Party ticket. BUT PULL I WILL. I don't like or approve of bluedog democrats nor third way democrats, but unless there is a huge makeover of the democratic party, its ideology of appeasing the RW while cowering in the corner and it's drift to RC, nothing us little 99%ers can do.

a lot of that "snap decision" stuff going on with unarmed black and brown people these days, which is one of the underlying substantive points in this OP. Yeah, 'white privilege' gives an open carry idiot a leg up, any black 'open carrying' in an open carry state/place WILL be accosted by 'peace officers' after hundreds of 911 calls of a suspicious person with a gun!!!! The fear dripping from their lips..... Period.
