This is really not newsworthy. No one needs to be associated,

for ill or for good, with the actions of a half-brother or, or that matter, a brother.

In all likelihood, Scott Brown, whom I consider a very poor public servant, was not raised in the same household with Bruce Brown, in that they have different mothers, and most children of divorce remain mostly in the household of birth mothers.

Adults hold no responsibility for the actions of adult siblings, and should not be judged accordingly.

Well put, rug. nt

I guess, now that I've wearied of this "discussion"

that one here will declare "victory".
And some will never know that they have been ignored, thus no further replies.

Glad you realized, as I did after I had typed -

that "go to it" was open to various interpretations.
That why I added the second sentence.

We must be careful of being too cryptic in our posts.

I try to not be vulgar or uncivil in my posts, here and elsewhere on the web.
It is crass enough without my adding to it.

No one is stopping you.

Yes, I consider it ridiculous for those who are non-religious to carry on about religion.

Perhaps I should go to the Sports group and rail about how I dislike sports.

I agree with you.

I always consider nonbelievers posting in the believers group rather ridiculous and inappropriate.
Some believe that because believers don't wish to engage with them that they have "won".

What have they won?
I guess they think they have won the "argument", but have they?
Have you heard of any believers becoming non-believers because of postings on DU?
Has anyone noticed a decline in church attendance or even religiosity because of postings on DU?

The Discussionist is still in its formative stages.

I imagine there will be many changes and versions before it emerges into whatever it will become.
I'm willing to give it a looksee, but much prefer the variety of subjects and groups at DU.
