Was on a 5-day Elderhostel in St. Augustine ca 6 years ago.

Definitely a good place to visit.
Our hotel was closer to the ocean; most meals were taken there, and transport to historic and scenic sites provided.
Recommended.

Yes, Sprink, the pandemic has taken a toll on so many of us.

I struggle quite a bit as well, with lower energy and the knowledge that personal aging came at the same time as the pandemic.

We're old enough to know that there's a lot we can't control, and we have to let go of some of it.
Our worry, our concern won't change Israel/Palestine and internal corruption in some places here.

Important to get our rest (say I near 3 a.m., but I sleep in these days.)
Put worries up on a shelf at night - they'll still be there tomorrow if we want to take them on.

Thank the Lord each night for the small accomplishments of the day, eating healthily, taking a shower (yeah), being civil to those you meet.

We're always here.

Sleep well.

If you believe Dems cannot currently win in FL, then how is DeSantis going down?

DeSantis plans to run again for governor, as far as I know, unless he can garner a higher Republican nomincation, i.e., President or VP.

Charlie Crist says he is ready and willing.

I'm not a Floridian, so I don't know if he is up to the job, or if L voters would ever consider him again.
But, we shall see.

Does anyone really think Melania would ever consent to return to White House?

I think her husband, (the Former President) will talk up his return up to the very last minute, but it won't happen.
He loves the talk, the speculation, etc., not to mention whatever funds he can grab along the way.

But it won't happen.

Sleep apnea can cause one to awaken with a feeling of panic.

I had those awakenings for quite a period.
When my physician suggested that I might have sleep apnea, I was in denial.
A test showed that I did have sleep apnea.
Ever since I've used a CPAP, I no longer have the problem. (That sounds like a commercial, doesn't it)

I'm firmly convinced many more people need a CPAP than those recognizing it.

I basically agree with you, especially the need for nursing home employees to be

vaccinated, and that the work is not highly skilled.
However, 2 points need to be made:
1. In my state, and I suspect in many others, a certificate is required for completion of a course called Certified Nursing Assistant before being employed as a nursing aide. I understand the course can be as little as 2 weeks, but still is a requirement.

2. Even though the work is not highly-skilled work, it is not easy work and many people are not temperamentally suited for the work. I imagine many are not physically fit enough as well. I could give you paragraphs about these points, but not at this time.
