No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalDoes it strike anyone that the idea of these major rivers separating states
(Ohio River, Mississippi River, Missouri River, etc) should not be under the jurisdictional control of a state, but that they should be under federal control?
The Coast Guard already has major responsibilities for these rivers; they are too vital to be left to partisan and financial interests.
I watched the Brian Lamb interview of Sally Quinn on C-Span on Sunday.
Most interesting; Ms. Quinn is not reticent with any of the details of her early days as well
as her present and recent past with her husband Ben Bradlee.
For those interested, I'd recommend looking it up on C-Span, or keeping an eye out for a rebroadcast (which C-Span does frequently.)
Yes, doubt. But I don't spend much time on it anymore.
I've been through this routine with myself enough times that I know my personal answer -
I'll never resolve it this side of the grave, so just move on and waste time on other matters.
Cincinnati Enquirer: UK police issued All Clear advisory
just after midnight.
No one was injured.
No more details given.
It was 49+ years, until his death 4+ yrs ago.
He had a good heart and we had so many good times.
I still miss my guy.
Congratulations on your 25 years of marriage and may your see another 25, and then another!
I remember people commenting to us as well that they thought it was amazing/wonderful/incredible, etc. that we had been married so long.
It wasn't so amazing/wonderful/incredible to us because we couldn't imagine any other life.
Arthur, many of us watched Chelsea grow up, from a youngster
with braces to an intelligent, competent, beautiful young woman.
We saw her with her parents at her father's inauguration, and we saw her holding both her parents' hands, walking between them when their marriage was going through an especially difficult time, as though she was holding the marriage together.
Her parents did a wonderful job of raising her, in the spotlight of publicity and press, and she remained unspoiled throughout.
Bottom line, Arthur, we hold Chelsea in high regard and wish her, her baby and family, all the best.
It's your prerogative to not care, but the news of her baby is of interest and newsworthy to many.
It's not necessary to put down other DUers. In fact, it
diminishes the enjoyment of those who come here.
Wouldn't Mitch McConnell hve said of Hillary "We must work every day to
insure that this President (Hillary Clinton) will not have a second term."
The Republicans would have verbally brutalized her every day, personally and politically.
She would not have had any more success in getting bipartisanship than has Pres. Obama.
Can you even begin to think of how Rush Limbaugh would have vilified her daily?
