CNN is doing a "review" of the media and fact checking of trump and politics during the last four years...I say bs on Tapper's comment about a lot of conservative media being more honest about trump's lies than fox and some others...they all covered his distortions and untruths and even CNN and MSNBC used the "both sides do it" claim all the time...
I wonder if the scotus decision puts a damper on the big mall maga rally scheduled for tomorrow...
probably not but you'd think anyone with half a brain would stay home...oh, wait...
Hard not to be sad...
I live within sight of my local community/senior center which is rented out for some sort of holiday/family celebration today...People with babies and small children and senior adults going in and out with nary a mask to be seen. I am in a small town just outside of a mid sized metro area and the local news is reporting the two major local hospitals and their satellite location's ICU beds are completely filled with a majority of covid 19 patients even though they added beds just last week...red red area filled with trumpers, so so sad to me, I don't want anyone (with one exception) to suffer and some of them will soon...I'm gonna go watch another comedy or something...sorry about being a downer but just sitting here watching this slow motion accident sucks...
So I was just at our little Senior/Community Center in my little red red town..
Most of this community are magats so the 40ish lady running the center is no exception...I was just asking about some of the activities there, no politics, and she says we don't know what will happen with the election and it won't be over or decided for a long long time. I just shook my internal head and did a pivot to the ACA (as we had discussed a medicare consultant coming in) and pointed out that if the ACA is gone all of the Seniors on medicare would see greatly increased drug costs and other expenses along with medicaid users and regular insurance increases and cuts and limitations....she looked sort of baffled and I said bye leaving her there in her tiny brained maga world...
I've put all the smart light bulbs in my small apt and outside porch light on blue to celebrate...

I'm so angry...
I have no money, no power and can hardly get around but I will focus this emotion and somehow, some way these bastards will regret their decisions and arrogance...our rights will be protected and enhanced, our environment will be protected and made better and our very lives will be saved from the neofacist theocrats currently celebrating...they've taken Neil Young's "kinder gentler machine gun hand" and made it into an actual machine gun hand....assholes....
I'm sick of the horse race crapola the media is pushing today...
CNN pundits and hosts are really pushing this meme...one just said it is more like the Romney vs Obama than the Mondale vs Reagan likelihood prior to the last debate...also, the thugs are catching up in early voting numbers and will likely surpass the dem in person turnout...blah, blah, blah...even NPR is pushing this...so I'm listening to Irish music (Thistle Radio on tunein.com) and enjoying my day with DU...
