Scary trip to WalMart...

I don't usually go there but I needed a couple of non food items my small town grocery doesn't carry and it is in the next small town about 12 miles away (in a very red state just outside of Wichita). I went just after noon and wore my mask and gloves but the scary part, other than employees almost no one was wearing a mask or gloves or even spacing out (it was marked on the floor every few feet). Luckily it wasn't super crowded so I got in and out safely. Just the total disregard for others is weighing on me, I can't believe people are this way. There were even children running about by themselves.

The only interactions I had were with a young guy who got in the checkout line behind me but was right up on my basket (I had finished loading it on the conveyor), I gave him a nasty glare and he shuffled around for a moment and then moved to the next checkout... They did have plexi glass in front of the checker and when I had paid I commented to the young lady about no one wearing masks, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "as long as we have what they want we don't judge what they wear". I know she can't do anything but just her uncaring nonchalance stuck with me. She had a sort of what's with you tone in her voice...Won't go back there until ever or certainly not until the covid is in decline....just my experience...
