Democide is a term revived and redefined by the political scientist R. J. Rummel (1932–2014) as "the murder of any person or people by their government, including genocide, politicide and mass murder"

Democide can also include deaths arising from "intentionally or knowingly reckless and depraved disregard for life"; this brings into account many deaths arising through various neglects and abuses, such as forced mass starvation. Rummel explicitly excludes battle deaths in his definition. Capital punishment, actions taken against armed civilians during mob action or riot, and the deaths of noncombatants killed during attacks on military targets so long as the primary target is military, are not considered democide.[1]

Three meanings of genocide...

Democide is the murder of any person or people by their government, including genocide, politicide and mass murder. Democide is not necessarily the elimination of entire cultural groups but rather groups within the country that the government feels need to be eradicated for political reasons and due to claimed future threats.

According to Rummel, genocide has three different meanings.

1.The ordinary meaning is murder by government of people due to their national, ethnic, racial or religious group membership.

2.The legal meaning of genocide refers to the international treaty on genocide, the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. This also includes nonlethal acts that in the end eliminate or greatly hinder the group. Looking back on history, one can see the different variations of democides that have occurred, but it still consists of acts of killing or mass murder.

3. Democide – This generalized meaning of genocide is similar to the ordinary meaning but also includes government killings of political opponents or otherwise intentional murder. In order to avoid confusion over which meaning is intended. Rummel created the term democide for this third meaning.

Travel ban takes effect as State Department defines ‘close family’

After five months of bitter legal squabbling, the Trump administration’s modified travel ban took effect Thursday night under new guidelines designed to avert the chaos of the original rollout. But the rules will still keep many families split and are likely to spawn a new round of court fights.

The State Department on Thursday announced new criteria to determine who will be allowed to enter the United States as a visitor or a refugee. The travel restrictions are temporary for now — 90 days for visitors and 120 days for refugees coming from six Muslim-majority countries: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. But the administration took a particularly strict interpretation of a Supreme Court ruling Monday that only those with “bona fide” relationships, such as close family members, can enter the country.

The administration’s new rules do not allow grandparents, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins and fiances. They do allow sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and stepchildren.

Advocates and lawyers criticized the family list as capricious.

“The president is supposed to protect American families, not rip them apart,” said Shayan Modarres, a lawyer with the National Iranian American Council

Everytime I see Trump on tv saying , 'Obamacare is dead' . it sounds like he really wants to leave out the word 'care'. He says it with so much emphasis and nastiness. He really hates Obama. Everything he does it is against Obama, everything.

" Someone could have taped their conversation with the Presidents knowledge. He has no knowledge that there are tapes out there. There are people coming in and out of the White House everyday."

Question: " Why would the President say there are tapes and there aren't any?'

Answer: 'He never said he had taped the conversation. he just said 'Comey better hope there aren't any tapes' The tweets speak for themselves, but if he had them he would have released them already", The msm are obsessed wit these 'tapes' . You and the Dems are the only ones obsessed with the 'tapes'.

Answer: No. His credibility is not called into question by his base, only with the dems and the msm. The only thing the President wants to do is work on his agenda, healthcare, the infrastructure etc.
