IrishAyes's JournalThen damn the whole lot to everlasting hellfire! That's so evil.
Absolutely sickening. I don't know why GOP heads don't explode from the pressure of their lies.
Gee, thanks. Don't remember what I said, but I know I meant it.
I appreciate that you don't try to rip me to shreds like some people either. I have a reasonably thick skin, having grown up with brothers and such; but when someone jokes to someone that they might want to rethink certain persistent behavior because it's known to affect your sex life, then that person turns around squawking about lurid 'interest' and sex harrassment, that's where they go on the Ignore list. Anybody mean/sick enough to whale around like that won't quit on their own. It's Rovian methodology.
Imagine how you shine by comparison! I hope when Skinner/Earl let us have friends or followers, we can keep closer track of each other that way. I fret knowing that some of the folks on the BOG are writing OPs elsewhere that I might or might not stumble across.
Beautiful pix, important OP and text - thanks as always.
Don't want to sound lazy, but we depend on you a lot for these things, as well as sheshe and several others.

I look forward to hearing from the Castro twins on this subject. The TPs might have Cruz and Rubio, but one of ours can lick a dozen of theirs with one hand tied behind his back!
Don't rush to compliment.
I didn't read the book itself, just heard Billo blabbing about it ad nauseum on several interview shows when it came out and I was sick in bed. In my illness I'd been leaving the remote all sorts of mysterious places and half the time didn't know where it was even if I'd felt able to go get it. Which I didn't. Torture of the damned and trapped. After hearing Billo hawk that garbage for well over an hour total, you couldn't make me read the book if you threatened me with burning at the stake. I already know the high (and low) points quite well enough, thank you!
But that doesn't stop the loudmouth from lying like a turkey at Thanksgiving!
Another of Billo's comments I heard straight from his mouth on an interview show: that the disciples were not taken from the working class of the day, not really. They'd been quite wealthy before the Romans reduced them to menial work as fishermen. (So you see, boys and girls, God does favor the rich and the 7 Mountains creed will tell you send all your $ to them, and if you do, they might leave you a scrap or two of stale bread under the table but that's more than you deserve because you're under God's curse of poverty. If you were good people you'd be rich.) A pox on his house!
Billo personifies heresy. But the GOP sheeple, at least the ones who can read, will eat it all up and try their best to lift this poverty curse by sending TPs every penny they can scrape together. Take food out of their own baby's mouth to save it from hellfire and destruction.
It might be a hardheaded owner mentality, but I've never been able to afford to rent.
No kidding. Except for the 2 years in NYC. But then I had a good job in Manhattan and lived in Queens. Any other time it was cheaper for me to own than to rent. Besides, I have an utter horror of making payments on anything forever.
When we first married my ex wanted to rent, but I convinced him to let us live on his salary and save mine, so when we left NYC and of course usually had base housing for years, I saved like a demon. He'd run up crazy bills and then turn the checkbook over to me to get us back in shape, but I damn well made him let me use his paycheck for that. The first house we bought was in the Los Feliz area of L.A. and we paid cash. Does everyone get that chance? No. But when they do, they should make every effort to live well below their means for as long as possible in order to move up safely at a later date. After our divorce, my ex went through bankruptcy at least 3 times I know of. Today he makes $ hand over fist, but unless he's relinquished all financial dealings to his 4th wife and unless she's a lot smarter than him, he'll still die in hock up to his eyeballs. Part of my horror of personal debt comes from those years with him. But like a lot of tragedies, it helped innoculate me against worse mistakes.
Hooray for Pallone!
If anyone could make me ashamed to be Irish, it would be O'Reilly.
What an awful excuse for a human being. You know he claims to be a Christian and historian, yet in his latest book also claims that Jesus came to die to lift his people's tax burden. Apparently, Jesus was all about the $ and nothing else, so why should the GOP be any different?
