IrishAyes's JournalIt's already past my bedtime, so I can't think of a single clever thing to say.
Or even of the slightest interest to myself.
So I'll just say thanks for the OP. Yeah, if the Gobs Of Piss throw enough at our man, maybe they'll eventually find something that'll stick. Don't hold your breath waiting though. Did you see the June jobs report today? Best 52 months in history, from what I hear. Ooooo, that awful Kenyan failure in THEIR WH! How dare he!
PS:
When I clicked on the 2 websites where banned DU trolls go to wither and die, one was running a story/ad about massive closures of nursing homes due to low medicaid reimbursement. Granny's been kicked to the curb. Death panels for sure. It's all over. We might as well roll up the sidewalks and go home. It's over. All is lost.
Odd, though... I never heard about this disaster anywhere else and I'm almost OCD about hawking the news. Maybe if I look at Faux Snooze or the Blaze or Storm Front, they'll have it too?
I love NYC too.
Fortunate enough to live there 1969-70. My ex and I were childless then and had a tiny 'garden' studio but it didn't matter. Weeknights we didn't get home before 11 pm, and weekends sometimes we just didn't get home at all. In those 2 years we saw more of the city than many lifetime residents ever did. But we knew we wouldn't always be there either, so we wanted to make the most of our stay. Those are still some of the best memories of my life. God bless the USO, too, and the free Broadway tickets for servicemen. He was an officer so rightfully we had to wait until almost showtime before any leftover tickets were available to us. But if you were standing right there at 7:30 and really hustled, you could make it to almost any theater before curtain time.
Of course at my age, the appearance gauge runs a little different from before.
Now I'm prone to gaze in wonder and think, "Wow, look - he still has all his teeth!"
Well, I love HRC and Warren both.
Either would suit me just fine, thank you everyone. I'm disinclined to fret. If both should run, luckily my state primary's late enough in the game that I should have a pretty good idea which one has the better chance of winning the WH. That's the one I'll vote for; no apologies. I've never considered it good for the country to hold my breath and pout because my favorite Democrat lost a nomination to another Democrat, especially one I like just about as well. They may be different, but each has a strong side.
Yes, and if specifically civil rights was indeed unintentionally left out,
I imagine Senator Warren would appreciate a nice note correcting her oversight. I can't imagine she meant to slight any of us. Though you certainly have a valid point.
They want expendables born for slave labor and cannon fodder,
maybe just not enough of them to learn how to use a pitchfork.
Bread lines turn into bread riots easily enough, then it's only a blink or two before other dominoes fall.
Have a heart, Steven! Maybe that's the best he can do, poor child.
He might also realize the obvious, that he's out of his depth.
YOU SCARED ME HALF TO DEATH!
I didn't say 'unclear'. I said 'convoluted'.
Which it is, and therefore poor composition. Perhaps that Byzantine methodology suits your purpose, however. You and several other posters seem determined to twist my words every which way and insert your own misinterpretations. This is but the latest example. Surely it couldn't be on purpose, could it? I'd be shocked, I tell you - shocked.
But I'll tell you what I am already: tired of it. Go bug somebody else. I'm not fueling your game any further.
Being in uniform was not always any protection.
I remember a black soldier returning from WWII; he was burned alive in one of the Deep South states.
Thanks for your post.
