Fort Bragg says its Twitter account was 'hacked'

Fort Bragg garrison officials say their verified Twitter account was hacked after posts weighing in on the issue of female pubic hair and lustful comments about a nude woman’s picture appeared on the social media website.
The XVIII Airborne Corps spokesman, Col. Joe Buccino, said the garrison has “ruled out any malicious intent” by its public affairs officials. He added that they still don’t have much information about how the incident occurred.

Battle of Mogadishu

I got out of the Army in 93.

I later became friends with several of the Task Force Ranger and the 5th Special Forces detachment that was ordered to “Hold in place” while TF Ranger had to stand on its own .

I also met several of the 10th Mountain guys and one guy from an engineer unit that was there to help.

They said it’s the most evil place they ever served. Those were soldiers who saw the sectarian violence in Iraq. They said it was completely understandable while everyone pulled out. The whole system couldn’t be changed.

I hope we do a better job of preparing our military for what they see.

House lawmakers unanimously pass bill that would allow Alwyn Cashe to finally receive the Medal of H

“ Lawmakers in the House of Representatives unanimously passed legislation that would allow President Donald Trump to upgrade the Silver Star of Army Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn Cashe to the Medal of Honor, solidifying a step forward in the push to recognize Cashe for his heroic actions in 2005.

The House bill that passed on Tuesday waives the requirement that a service member receive the Medal of Honor within five years of their bravery so that Cashe's award can be upgraded, Military Times reports; language calling for the Medal of Honor was also included in the national defense authorization act this summer. “

Army sergeant major to receive Medal of Honor for saving 75 hostages from ISIS

“An Army sergeant major will be awarded the Medal of Honor for his remarkable bravery during a 2015 mission to free hostages from the Islamic State group, The White House announced Thursday.

Sgt. Maj. Thomas P. Payne, 36, will receive the nation's highest award for battlefield heroism during a ceremony at The White House on Sept. 11, according to the announcement, which said Payne's "extraordinary heroism and selfless actions were key to liberating 75 hostages during a contested rescue mission that resulted in 20 enemy fighters killed in action."

Somewhere there is a picture of him rocking brown corcoran jump boots with the new uniform.

There is a short video attached.

He came out of the Ranger Regiment which is why he’s wearing that beret.

Source: The Fayetteville Observer

Within 18 hours of receiving a notice to deploy in support of American embassy attacks and a breach in Iraq, paratroopers at Fort Bragg were ready, officials said.

More than 650 paratroopers toted equipment in brisk weather during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day, to board C-17 aircraft headed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations as part as the Immediate Response Force.

A spokesman for the 82nd Airborne Division said paratroopers with the 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division were activated and deployed in response “to the increased threat levels against U.S. personnel and facilities.”

TEB this is why your buddies had to head back to Bragg. Weren’t they 504th dudes?
