"Fat Shaming," directed toward a man who championed "Fat Shaming"

"Fat Shaming" has never been welcome on DU, and understandably so.

Then there's Donald Trump, who championed the concept of attempting to publicly humiliate people, especially women, over what he deemed to be their "less than ideal weight."

First, I don't believe there's any way this man weighs "239 pounds." I think that falls into the same category of every other way that Trump describes himself, from his net worth to his being "the least racist person" the media will ever interview...a lie.

But he's also a man who has lashed out at anyone within his reach over their physical appearance, whether it was "fat shaming" or licking his lascivious lips over women who "passed his test," including his own daughter.

Trump's ugliness doesn't come from his weight, or his physical appearance in general, although he's no pretty picture. It comes from the vile contents inside of the vessel that carries him through this world.

And, because he obsessively follows the media on his multiple TV screens when he should actually be doing the job he was elected to do, he'll see the "Girther" stories, and it will just make him lash out at something or someone else.

The "Girther" thing, I guess, is either payback or yet another "we can't sink to his level" event. I hope it's short-lived, and that our focus remains on things like Democrats controlling the House and Senate in November, and the 25th Amendment, and Articles of Impeachment.

On November 8th, the so-called “Winter White House” was cited for “the lack of smoke detectors capable of alerting the hearing impaired through flashing bright lights; and slabs of concrete missing from a staircase, exposing steel rebar that could cause someone to fall.”

“The November inspections of the club’s two main kitchens, meanwhile, yielded a total 15 violations,” the Miami Herald reported. “Among the no-nos was the staff’s failure to track the freshness of potentially hazardous foods, including curry sauce dated Oct. 21 pulled from a freezer and improperly marked, milk stored at 49 degrees instead of the safe temperature of 41 degrees, and cases of hot dogs stored on the ground of the walk-in freezer.”

This was the second time Trump’s club has been cited during his presidency.

In February 2017, “inspectors found sushi fish ready for consumption without the obligatory treatment for parasites and cited the club for storing food in two broken down coolers at temperatures that spoiled fresh ingredients,” the Miami Herald reminded.

Vice President Mike Pence on Sunday attended a service at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo, Maryland — and he reportedly appeared embarrassed as he watched the church’s pastor shame President Donald Trump for calling African countries “shitholes.”

Local news station WUSA 9 reports that Metropolitan Baptist Church Pastor Dr. Maurice Watson on Sunday called out Trump for saying that he would rather import more immigrants from white-majority countries such as Norway than black-majority countries such as Haiti.

“I stand today as your Pastor to vehemently denounce and reject any such characterizations of the nations of Africa and of our brothers and sisters in Haiti,” Watson told his congregation as Pence looked on. “And I further say: Whoever made such a statement, whoever used such a visceral, disrespectful, dehumanizing adjective to characterize the nations of Africa… whoever said it, is wrong. And they ought to be held accountable.”

According to WUSA 9’s report, Pence “became visibly red-faced at times throughout the speech,” even though the pastor did not call out President Trump by name.

During Monday morning’s show, Kilmeade said that Trump disparaging African countries was “unfortunate,” which echoed a statement he made last week that suggested Trump should walk his comments back.

However, even this relatively mild rebuke drew the ire of Trump fans on Twitter, many of whom attacked Kilmeade in poorly spelled messages telling him to back off the president.
