A Wisconsin man was arrested Wednesday after he spent the night drinking beer and malt beverages in a convenience store cooler.

Jeremy Van Ert, 38, stopped into a Kwik Trip convenience store in Marshfield, Wisconsin to buy beer just before midnight on Tuesday evening. When he went into the store's cooler to grab the beverages, he says the cooler door locked behind him.

Believing he was locked in the cooler for the night, Van Ert decided to make the most of his situation. He reportedly drank three cans of Four Loko and an 18-ounce can of beer.

However, police say that the Kwik Trip is open 24 hours a day, and that Van Ert just needed to knock on the cooler's glass door to get the attention of an attendant.

President Donald Trump’s fan club is throwing a party in January to celebrate his first year as president — and to support Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, which saw an exodus of private charity events booked for galas this coming winter season.

The Trumpettes will host a Red, White and Blue Celebration for the first anniversary of Trump’s presidency, to be held Jan. 18 in the Grand Ballroom of Mar-a-Lago on Palm Beach, said Toni Holt Kramer, the Trumpette’s founder and an ardent Trump supporter. The party is being held two days before the anniversary of Trump’s Jan. 20, 2017, inauguration as the 45th President of the United States.

The Trumpettes started out as a group of four wealthy and well-connected women seeking to get Trump elected president back in 2015. It has mushroomed into thousands of supporters nationwide and even around the world, leading to numerous television appearances and articles about Holt Kramer and her cause.

Holt Kramer, a former model and Hollywood reporter, said she came up with the party idea after seeing a parade of charities this summer pulling their winter fundraising events from Mar-a-Lago. The exodus followed Trump’s controversial comments following the neo-Nazi and white supremacist rallies in Charlottesville, Va. in August.

Donald Trump Jr. used Hillary Clinton’s birthday on Thursday as an opportunity to take a dig at the former Democratic presidential nominee calling her out for her hubris in a tweet in 2016 announcing herself as the future president.

“A year later the arrogance and entitlement in this tweet is exactly why it was never going to happen,” President Donald Trump’s eldest son said. He added an image of the tweet Clinton had posted ayear ago that showed her as a young girl. “Happy birthday to this future president,” she wrote at the time.

Clinton sent the tweet less than two weeks before the November 8 election that propelled Trump to the White House. At the time she was riding high in the polls.

Trump Jr. has made frequent media appearances in defence of his father’s administration over the last year. Earlier this month he attacked the media for its reaction to the president's handling of the race-related violence in Charlottesville, Virginia in August. "He condemned...the white nationalists and the left-wingers. That should not have been controversial, but it was,” Trump told a gathering at Faulkner University in Alabama.

Trump tweets happy birthday to the wrong Lee Greenwood

President Trump didn't do himself proud on Twitter Friday morning, appearing to wish congratulations to the wrong Lee Greenwood.

"Happy birthday to the great @leegreenwood83. You and your beautiful song have made such a difference. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" he posted.

October 27 was the 75th birthday of singer Lee Greenwood, best known for his ultra-patriotic song “God Bless the U.S.A”

However, @leegreenwood83 is not the flag-waving performer, but an account that says it belongs to a New York lawyer with the same name.

John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring to Offer Free Webcast of Capitol Theatre Show

Next week, John McLaughlin and Jimmy Herring will kick off their collaborative Meeting of the Spirits tour, and the iconic guitarist will be offering a free webcast of their show on November 4 at the Capitol Theatre.The tour, which opens November 1 in Buffalo, NY, will feature McLaughlin backed by his 4th Dimension band and Herring leading his Invisible Whip project, along with a collaborative set of music from McLaughlin’s legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra to end each night. McLaughlin has also noted that this will probably be his last American tour. The Capitol Theatre show can be viewed for free via the Relix YouTube channel and in the video below.

Trump was a frequent critic of President Barack Obama’s work ethic during his presidency, accusing him of playing too much golf and taking too many vacation days.



In August it was reported Trump took three times as much holiday as Obama during the same period of time into his presidency.

According to an NBC News tracker of the number of days Trump spends on his golf courses, October 22 marked the 75th day of Trump’s 279 day presidency spent playing golf. That means that Trump has played golf on average every 3.7 days.
