FFS, he's having chronic Tweet-arrhea this morning. I can feel the tone softening already!

YES, he's doubling down.

YES, as we move into the next two years, he will be worse.

Trump: "If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us..."

@realDonaldTrump

If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!

Neil Young on Trump: "This man does not represent the character of the people in the U.S.A."

Neil Young Slams Trump Over ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ Again

Young had criticized Trump for playing the song during his 2015 presidential campaign, saying he was actually a supporter of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. Two days later, the Trump campaign said, “We will respect [Young’s] wish and not use it because it’s the right thing to do.”

Responding to Trump’s continued use of the 1989 classic, Young wrote on his website, “DT does not have my permission to use the song ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ at his appearances. Legally, he has the right to, however, it goes against my wishes. I made this perfectly clear after he played it in a media moment to announce his candidacy. I asked him then, in a widely shared public letter to cease and desist.

“However, he chose not to listen to my request, just as he chooses not to listen to the many American voices who ask him to stop his constant lies, to stop his petty, nasty name calling and bullying, to stop pushing his dangerous, vilifying and hateful rhetoric.”

Young added that “this man does not represent the character of the people in the U.S.A. that I have come to know and love.”

Fresno Bee thinks that "maybe" Nunes will now "be our congressman"

Now that Nunes can no longer be Trump’s protector, maybe he can be our congressman

Congratulations to Devin Nunes on his re-election. Congratulations mixed with condolences. Because his days as a powerful and influential congressman are over.

Even though Nunes defeated challenger Andrew Janz to retain his District 22 seat, he was also among the biggest losers in Tuesday’s midterm elections.

***

Our local congressman’s power on Capitol Hill, as described by Fresno State political science professor Thomas Holyoke, “will be greatly diminished.”

For starters, Nunes will no longer be chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. When Congress reconvenes that gavel will almost certainly pass to Democrat Adam Schiff, Nunes’ one-time collaborator turned fierce adversary.

The biggest tragedy from last night is that Putin must now choose a new favorite Congressman. SAD!

Dana Rohrabacher — ‘Putin’s favorite congressman’ — loses to Democrat Harley Rouda

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/11/dana-rohrabacher-putins-favorite-congressman-loses-democrat-harley-rouda/

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher — infamously known as “Putin’s favorite congressman” — lost his re-election campaign in California.

The Republican lawmaker was narrowly defeated by Democrat Harley Rouda, a real estate executive and former Republican, in the deeply conservative 48th House District.

Rohrabacher has been a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, and he earned his nickname after using information he got from the Russian government to promote one of Vladimir Putin’s top priorities — removing the name of murdered lawyer Sergei Magnitsky from a sanctions act.

Those that worked with me in this incredible Midterm Election, embracing certain policies and principles, did very well. Those that did not, say goodbye! Yesterday was such a very Big Win, and all under the pressure of a Nasty and Hostile Media!

Mother Jones: "Here Comes The Flood"..."The possibilities are almost endless for the Democrats."

Here comes the flood.

With the Democrats having won control of the House of Representatives, President Donald Trump and his crew in the White House and assorted federal agencies can expect to be hit by a wave of investigations and subpoena requests from Capitol Hill. There are dozens of House committees and subcommittees, and each no doubt has its own to-do list.

The House Intelligence Committee, under the chairmanship of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), will certainly revive aspects of the Trump-Russia probe that House Republicans smothered. The House Foreign Affairs Committee surely will consider examining the Trump-Saudi relationship in light of the grisly murder of Jamal Khashoggi. You can bet the Homeland Security Committee will investigate the Trump administration’s family-separation policy, and the Armed Services Committee will examine whether there was any reason for Trump to send 15,000 troops to the border to deal with a migrant caravan.

The possibilities are almost endless for the Democrats. A good chunk of Trump’s Cabinet and Cabinet-level appointees (current and former)—including Wilbur Ross, Ben Carson, Betsy DeVos, Scott Pruitt, and Ryan Zinke—have faced allegations of wrongdoing that warrant congressional scrutiny. In the coming weeks, the House Democrats will have to sort out which inquiries to proceed with, while possibly dealing with the tricky issue of impeachment. But two committees are likely to take the lead in investigating the Trump crowd—the Oversight and Government Reform Committee and the Judiciary Committee—and the Democrats on each panel have for the past two years been keeping a list of all the matters they believe deserve investigation.
