Crowd at Utah rally chanting “Donald Trump” met with “Mr. Hate Out of Our State”

Supporters of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump and protesters clashed after a rally in Utah on Friday.

Crowds who chanted “Donald Trump” were met with “Mr. Hate Out of Our State” as police in riot gear blocked the entrance to the Infinity Event Center in Salt Lake City. Protesters tried to rush the door of the building and got into screaming matches with Trump supporters who were barred from entering the venue.

According to KSTU-TV, people who were exiting the building were being pelted with rocks. Some protesters were seen tearing down a security tent that the U.S. Secret Service used to screen attendees before they entered the building.

"Like I said, overall, you know our officers were on standby, we were just hoping everything was peaceful, and, no problems whatsoever, and fortunately it turned out just as we anticipated," Salt Lake City Police Det. Cody Lougy told KSTU-TV.

Opera singer begins aria on "Spain's Got Talent," abruptly rips into AC/DC's "Highway To Hell"

This might be the single greatest video I've seen in 2016. Opera singer Cristina Ramos begins her audition with an aria and the abruptly rips into a version of AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" that slays the audience, and the judges. One judge pushed the 'golden buzzer,' meaning Ramos bypasses the next round of auditions and goes directly through to the live shows.

Arpaio to police Trump rally: It's "going to be a lot of fun taking care of business there"

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/donald-trump-joe-arpaio-sheriff-arizona-220980

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County is relishing the opportunity to host Donald Trump at a rally on his own turf Saturday — and serve as the muscle at the same time.

After taking a few days off from his long streak of attention-grabbing rallies, Trump is cranking back up this weekend, and has scheduled one of his events right in the backyard of the long-serving and controversial Arizona sheriff.

“Here I’m gonna be kinda wearing two hats — in charge of the security there in the town and also participating, I would imagine, with Trump in the rally, so it makes it interesting,” Arpaio said in an interview with POLITICO, adding that it “is going to be a lot of fun taking care of business there.”

Arpaio, who officially endorsed Trump back in January, said that he’s expecting protests at Saturday’s event. But the 83-year-old sheriff who has repeatedly been accused of racial profiling Hispanic residents says Trump’s clashes pale in comparison to his own.

Hillary's Enthusiasm Gap: "There is no substitute for positive enthusiasm."

The media tells us that Hillary has a lock on the nomination. That news should make her supporters extremely nervous, and not because the prognosticators have been wrong so many times already. All Democrats should worry because her major policy and character flaws could leave us with a Republican president this fall. Here’s why.

Enthusiasm Gap: While a Trump or a Cruz will draw many to the polls just to defeat them, there is no substitute for positive enthusiasm. We should be worried about the fact that Hillary is having difficulty breaking into double digits with young voters. That’s where the real energy is this year. Maybe she can make up for this with older voters, especially women. But it’s a gamble — a big one. Those Sanders kids may stay home. And guilt-tripping them into voting is not likely to work.

Trust: Hillary does not generate trust. Nearly 55% of voters think it’s a quality she lacks. Sure, it’s a wash if Trump is the nominee, given his high unfavorables. But what if it’s a Cruz-Kasich ticket or Ryan? Hillary will be hobbled. And it’s not just a bum rap. She has shape-shifted too many times, on too many issues. Yes, you can always explain away any one instance or another, by saying how she has changed, learned or made a mistake. But doing so only reinforces the image that she’s not being straight — that she’ll say whatever needs to be said to get elected.

“I” not “We”:
Hillary seems to say “I” more than any other candidate. The election is so clearly about her — her record, her skills, her experience, her ability to get things done. I’ve been in the situation room. I’ve had to make the tough choices. I will work hard for you. “I” is her sense of public service. She wants to do for others, she says again and again. In normal times that might be enough, assuming it was believable. But these are not normal times. There are movements afoot. Bernie has made “we” the mantra of his political revolution. Trump talks about his movement. Cruz talks about the conservative movement. But voters want to be included, to be part of something important. Hillary doesn’t have a feel for how to rally people to a cause. That’s not her. She’s an insider, a player, a person who commands $225,000 speaking fees. And that spells “I”.

Angle to make another bid for Reid’s Senate seat

Source: Las Vegas Sun

Reno conservative Sharron Angle, who lost a high-profile bid to oust Democratic Sen. Harry Reid in 2010, filed paperwork Friday to make an encore run for his soon-to-be-vacant U.S. Senate seat.

The Tea Party darling said she registered in Carson City after months of testing the water and hinting at a possible bid. Her move adds another primary opponent for the Republican frontrunner, three-term Rep. Joe Heck, and could throw a wrench in Republicans' hopes to claim the seat over Reid's endorsed candidate, former Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto.

Angle tweeted her announcement Friday afternoon just after 4 p.m., writing that “2nd Amendment remedies will be my solution to EVERYTHING."

"It was the clamor of the people," Angle told The Associated Press on Friday about why she decided to run. "People would walk up to me in the grocery store. People would say, 'I sure hope you run.' People all over the U.S."

Fox on Trump's "crude and sexist verbal assaults" and "extreme, sick obsession" with Megyn Kelly

https://www.facebook.com/FoxNews/posts/10154149665396336

Statement from a FOX News spokesperson:

“Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land. Megyn is an exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America — we’re extremely proud of her phenomenal work and continue to fully support her throughout every day of Trump’s endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults. As the mother of three young children, with a successful law career and the second highest rated show in cable news, it’s especially deplorable for her to be repeatedly abused just for doing her job.”

Facebook poster plans to boycott Hannity "just like Hanoi Jane" for posting Cruz poll numbers

Context: Hannity posted Rasmussen poll results showing that in their first poll after Rubio dropping out, Trump got 43% support to Cruz’s 28%.

https://www.facebook.com/SeanHannity/posts/10156775546210389?comment_id=10156775634190389&comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R0%22%7D

Barry Carter Well there goes Hannity again! The picture of Ted Cruz shows everyone how biased you are! How do you justify Cruz NRA A+ rating to Trumps no rating? How about Trumps statements on the assault weapons ban? When this election is over, I definitely won't forget you. Just like Hanoi Jane, I haven't watched anything she's made, or in.

Hulk Hogan wins $115 million in sex tape suit against Gawker

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-people-hulkhogan-verdict-idUSKCN0WK2UA?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&utm_source=twitter

A Florida jury awarded Hulk Hogan $115 million on Friday after finding the Gawker website violated his privacy by publishing a sex tape of the celebrity wrestler.

Hogan sought $100 million in damages over the edited video that Gawker posted online in 2012. The case weighed a celebrity's right to privacy in the Internet age against freedom of the press as protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
