Avenatti: "These passages in the Court's order do not bode well for the defendants..."

These passages in the Court's order do not bode well for the defendants and suggest that there is a strong likelihood that the Court will ultimately agree with our requests for discovery and a trial. They also destroy David Schwartz's claims that the motion was without merit.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia's governor has signed a bill to impose the federal 20-hour weekly work requirement for many food stamp recipients statewide.

The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports that Gov. Jim Justice signed the bill Tuesday.

It applies to people ages 18 to 49 who aren't pregnant, disabled or military veterans, have no dependents and receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits.

Currently, 46 of West Virginia's 55 counties have the work requirement waivers.

The maximum possible benefit is $192 a month or about $6.40 a day, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

SHS: "The president is speaking directly to the American people tomorrow." #Resign #Perched

At Wednesday’s briefing, one reporter pointed out that it has been days since Trump took an official question from the press.

“Look, the president has got a major speech tomorrow,” Sanders opined without saying whether Trump would take questions. “He’s been incredibly active all week long. We’ve taken major actions in trade negotiations as well as expelling intel officers from Russia.”

“Is he too busy to take questions?” the reporter wondered.

“Look, we take questions from you guys every day,” the press secretary snapped. “And right now, I’m standing up here taking questions from you, which I did yesterday, which [Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah] did on Monday. And the president is speaking directly to the American people tomorrow.”

Sarah Wiseman, Elkhart, Ind.: “How much of it am I willing to put up with?” Wiseman said. “I think it’s going to have a huge impact on his next election if he doesn’t tone it down just a little bit.”

Beth Eads, Spring Hill, Tenn.: “I will not put myself in a situation where someone can question my integrity. Donald Trump has not done that,” Eads said on Saturday morning, sitting in her kitchen as the dishwasher ran and her teenage daughters worked on homework. “He has never put boundaries around himself. He has been around women by himself, touched women — and so when things are being questioned, people can’t say, ‘No, he would never do that.’ There is always a question.”

Taylor Richards, Athens, Ohio: She added that people have become accustomed to their presidents having shortcomings and that if former president Barack Obama faced similar accusations, it would not be a big deal. Richards said Daniels’s accusations are yet one more reason for Democrats who already hate the president to hate him more.

Delores Chavez Harmes, Valley Center, Calif.: She said that Trump has proved himself as “a great role model” on the world stage by being firm, articulate and strategic. But she would like to see him send fewer tweets and use more care in picking his words.
