The thing is, hes still a cancerous ghoul whose only goal is power and wealth and hes happy to take a big syphilitic piss on the Constitution and the institutional strength of America to do it. But again, I still win. Ill pay lower taxes and my kids will surpass yours. 2/
I get why people like the guyespecially fat-faced dimwits. Hes the dumb bully they never got to be. He exudes a tasteless persons vision of status. Hes what every angry moron thinks hed be if only the liberals/Jews/welfare queens/etc. hadnt ruined the American dream. 3/
Doesnt really matter though. I still win. Ill wiggle out of income taxes and send my kids to private school and never worry about insurance and buy a boat named $elf Made. Ill buy houses to rent to 40-ish millennials with Rosein their twitter names who cant afford to buy. 4/
And youll either vote for the next Trump (you idiot) or boycott the next Biden because you grew up in the era of fake internet points and http://Change.org petitions and you think fleeting, peacocking displays of your ethical rectitude mean fuck-all in the real world. 5/
Or maybe youll realize that the reason Im saying all this asshole-ish but truthful shit is because you (you, me, the broader we) actually have to quit pretending that being a pissbaby about your candidate is going to do anything but make life worse for vulnerable people. 6/
It doesnt matter that you liked Bernie. Or Warren (man I liked Warren) or McKinsey Pete or whoever the fuck Tom Steyer is. It doesnt matter. They lost. And pretending that someone who cant beat Joe Fucking Biden was going to win the general is asinine. 7/
Because heres the thingthe real thing. Youve got to give a shit about other people. A kid in Pennsylvania is counting on you to send Betsy Devos packing so he can have a school lunchthe only real meal he gets in a day. RBG is out here clingin to life to save jurisprudence. 8/
People from all degrees of marginalized existencesthe poor, LGBTs, immigrants, your grandma with diabetes, minoritiesare counting on you to stop wilfully making shit worse by stanning some defunct candidate and giving more power to the grifters and single-issue fuckwits. 9/
So sit around and pet your crotch about how Bernie was going to forgive your loans from your semiotics degree at Swarthmore. Or maybe just grow up a little and stop making the world better for people like me and worse for people to whom we owe a duty of care as fellow humans. 10/
Care about the greater good for oncenot just your infantile, idealized, selfish version of it. Care enough about your country to put away your fantasies about loan forgiveness and stop the guy whose goal is well done steak cooked over the ashes of American governance. 11/
Or, dont. Like I said. Ill be fine. Looking forward to that boat, really. 12/12

JEEPERS, What a SURPRISE! Look who gets the fattest checks from Trump's "payroll tax cut."

Melber: Trump wants payroll tax cuts, which "are more liberal than what most Repubs would vote for"
I guess Ari didn't get the memo about this:

This is a Trojan Horse attack on our Social Security system.
Economists and progressive advocacy groups are warning that President Donald Trumps proposal to cut or temporarily suspend the payroll tax in an effort to mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus is a Trojan Horse attack on our Social Security system that will do little to help most U.S. households.
Slashing the payroll tax, the primary funding mechanism for Social Security, is the wrong way to go, said Dean Baker, senior economist at the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR).
.
They may well use a temporary tax cut as an opportunity to weaken the programs finances so that they can then push for cuts or privatization.
Dean Baker, Center for Economic and Policy Research
Trump and the Republicans in Congress cannot be trusted to protect the Social Security trust fund, Baker said. They have frequently proposed cuts to the program, and under President Bush, sought to privatize it. They may well use a temporary tax cut as an opportunity to weaken the programs finances so that they can then push for cuts or privatization.

President Donald Trump was on Capitol Hill begging lawmakers for a stimulus package to save the stock market from continuing its decline. Yet, at the same time, he said that everything was fine and would go away soon.
Just stay calm it will go away, said Trump. Its really working out.

THE RATIONALE, from the "fact checker?"
"According to a transcript of the event on March 5, 2020, Trump never specifically mentioned those entitlement programs by name. The headline and subheader of an article claimed that the president specifically said those were programs for which he was planning to reduce funding. However, the words "Social Security" and "Medicare" do not appear in the official transcripts."
Facebook just flagged my "WE'LL BE CUTTING" post as "Partly False Information Found in Your Post"
I shared a story about Trump, at his "Fox Town Hall," saying "We'll be cutting."
Now, what was he talking about? "Entitlements." And what do Republicans consider to be "entitlements?" Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Here's the alert I received, and the rationale behind it appears below.

How Trump's haphazard management style made the coronavirus crisis worse
How Trumps haphazard management style made the coronavirus crisis worse
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/07/trump-coronavirus-management-style-123465
On Friday, as coronavirus infections rapidly multiplied aboard a cruise ship marooned off the coast of California, health department officials and Vice President Mike Pence came up with a plan to evacuate thousands of passengers, avoiding the fate of a similar cruise ship, the Diamond Princess, which became a petri dish of coronavirus infections. Quickly removing passengers was the safest outcome, health officials and Pence reasoned.
But President Donald Trump had a different idea: Leave the infected passengers on board which would help keep the number of U.S. coronavirus cases as low as possible.
Do I want to bring all those people off? People would like me to do it, Trump admitted at a press conference at the CDC later on Friday. I would rather have them stay on, personally.
I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault, Trump added, saying that he ultimately empowered Pence to decide whether to evacuate the passengers.
