Ben Carson: Trump isn't getting the credit for being incredibly courageous

“Absolutely, they’re not getting the credit for it,” said Carson. “And for that sake, you know, neither is the president getting the credit for being incredibly courageous. You know, imposing the travel ban so early on. Now you have people saying, oh, you were too late. The same people who were telling people to go out and have fun and to mix.”

Trump's Company Seeks to Ease Financial Crunch as Coronavirus Takes Toll

Trump’s Company Seeks to Ease Financial Crunch as Coronavirus Takes Toll

With some of its golf courses and hotels closed amid the economic lockdown, the Trump Organization has been exploring whether it can delay payments on some of its loans and other financial obligations, according to people familiar with the matter and documents reviewed by The New York Times.

Representatives of Mr. Trump’s company have recently spoken with Deutsche Bank, the president’s largest creditor, about the possibility of postponing payments on at least some of its loans from the bank.

And in Florida, the Trump Organization sought guidance last week from Palm Beach County about whether it expected the company to continue making monthly payments on county land that it leases for a 27-hole golf club.

“These days everybody is working together,” said Eric Trump, the president’s son, who helps manage the family business. “Tenants are working with landlords, landlords are working with banks. The whole world is working together as we fight through this pandemic.”

Trump's meeting with big oil execs at the White House Friday.

President Donald Trump on Friday is reportedly set to hold an in-person White House meeting with top executives from some of the largest fossil fuel companies in the world—including Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and Continental Resources—to discuss relief measures for the industry as the coronavirus pandemic tanks global oil demand.

“Other chief executives set to attend Friday’s meeting include Vicki Hollub of Occidental Petroleum Corp., David Hager of Devon Energy Corp., Greg Garland of Phillips 66, and Kelcy Warren of Energy Transfer,” according to the Wall Street Journal, which first reported on the planned meeting Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting will come just over a week after Trump hosted a conference call with Wall Street and hedge fund titans.

“Mr. Trump is unlikely to endorse direct federal aid or market interventions during Friday’s meeting,” the Journal reported, “but may consider smaller actions including a waiver of a law that requires American vessels be used to transport goods, including oil, between U.S. ports. The president wants to show support, even if policy opinions are limited for now.”

The President lashes out at John Roberts from Fox News for asking about the pandemic team. He asks Roberts if he’s working for CNN

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump lost his temper at a coronavirus press briefing when Fox News correspondent John Roberts asked him about his administration disbanding the pandemic response team.

“We didn’t do that. That turned out to be a false story,” said Trump. (It is not a false story.) “Now you’re starting to go — are you working for CNN?”

“I’m pointing out what they have said and what you have said, that’s all,” said Roberts.
.
“Fox isn’t so easy either, don’t kid yourself,” whined Trump. “Look, John, let me tell you something. You know that’s a false story. What you just said is a false story, this doctor knows it better than anybody … you shouldn’t be repeating a story that you know is false.”

Trump: "Upon information and belief, Iran or its proxies are planning a sneak attack..."

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Upon information and belief, Iran or its proxies are planning a sneak attack on U.S. troops and/or assets in Iraq. If this happens, Iran will pay a very heavy price, indeed!
