A federal judge presiding over the obstruction case against Roger Stone has ordered prosecutors to turn over the unredacted sections of the Mueller report relating to President Donald Trump's former adviser.
In court papers filed Thursday, Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the District of Columbia said she will review the documents herself before making a decision on what, if anything, to release to Stone's legal team.
The order comes nine days after federal prosecutors told Jackson they opposed a request from Stone to view the Mueller report without redactions.

>> In a close-doors GOP lunch, Burr walked through the backstory of the subpoena for Don Jr and defended his investigations work, per to people directly familiar.
McConnell also spoke up, the people said, offering his support for Mr. Burr and his handling of the committee.

Trump: John Kerry should be prosecuted because Iran should call me & he calls and tells them not to

President Trump on Iran: "I'd like them to call me. You know, John Kerry speaks to them a lot. @JohnKerry tells them not to call. That's a violation of the Logan Act. And, frankly, he should be prosecuted on that."

I was very surprised to see my son, Trump explained. My son is very good person. He works very hard. The last thing he needs is Washington, D.C.
He has never testified for 20 hours or something, the president continued. A massive amount of time. The Mueller report came out. That is the Bible. The Mueller report came out. They said he did nothing wrong.
My son is a good person, Trump added. My son testified for hours and hours. My son was totally exonerated by [special counsel Robert Mueller], who, frankly, does not like Donald Trump. Me, this Donald Trump.
And, frankly, for my son, after being exonerated, to now get a subpoena? he said. To go again and speak again after close to 20 hours of telling everybody that would listen about a nothing meeting? Yeah, Im pretty surprised.

Ive said repeatedly that his answers to the questions and I watched him, were smart-alecky, untruthful, and misleading, Fox News reporters cited him saying. So I want to hear about what the truth is.
Sources told CNN that Trump Jr. has considered declaring his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination or avoid appearing before the committee at all.
Blumenthal said that hes prepared to jail the presidents son if he refuses to cooperate with the subpoena.
If he fails to comply with a lawful subpoena, he has no privilege, prison is the only answer, Blumenthal said.

Adam Schiff introduces constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United
https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/08/politics/schiff-constitutional-amendment/index.html
Washington (CNN)Rep. Adam Schiff on Wednesday introduced a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, which helped usher in a new era of big money in American elections.
"Our democracy is not for sale. We must stop the flood of dark money from drowning out the voices of everyday citizens," the California Democrat said in a statement on Twitter. He said such an amendment would "restore power to the American people."
By a 5-4 ruling, the high court in 2010 swept aside a ban on independent spending by corporations and unions in candidate elections, saying the restrictions amounted to censorship. Outside spending in federal elections has soared from $338 million in 2008, the last presidential election before the ruling, to $1.4 billion in 2016, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.
Overturning the blockbuster ruling has become a rallying cry for many progressives in the Democratic Party, and other lawmakers have introduced a similar measure this year. But efforts to revise the Constitution have failed to gain traction. Two-thirds of the House and Senate must approve the change. Then, three-fourths of states must ratify it.
