Looks like Stephen Miller is still on the Trump payroll.

I'm not going to post the Trump "statement" here, because it's 100% MAGA filth, but you can read it here:

A Trump fundraising email compares American teachers to the Taliban -- and it's an explicit invitation to violence

...and it's got Miller's stench all over it. Trump is ramping up the grift machine for another hard squeeze for MAGAt $$$$$$$.

I can't pretend to understand the endgame of Republicans like Greene and Boebert

Race to the bottom? You bet.

Pandering to Trump's Q / MAGAt base? Ditto.

But this incessant ramping up of the rhetoric, becoming more loathsome as each day passes...

You have Republicans who pull out the can of crazy whenever there is a vote, or a major headline issue, but Green and Boebert are both so starved for attention that they yell "FIRE IN THE HOLE" on the quietest days.

My career background is in Marketing. I am familiar...sadly...with the "No such thing as bad publicity" thing.

They're not alone...Madison Cawthorn seems to be reaching for the same brass ring as Greene and Boebert.

So what is their endgame?

Happy Day After Reinstatement Day. Is there a sale on leftover merch, like after Christmas?

What a letdown for Mike Lindell and "Q" believers. All of the Inauguration parties set up in parents' basements all across the USA. Ted Nugent won't be playing "Star Spangled Banner" as Trump gives his second term speech. What a sad day for America. And you know, Mike Lindell REALLY seemed to have his act together. Despite the failure to produce a shred of evidence and going apoplectic when ASKED for any, he really seemed to have a thoughtful, well-researched and dynamically delivered presentation. I thought for SURE that Trump was a shoe-in.

Ha Ha Ha Ha HA! FU, Jake. You're not a "shaman," just another pathetic stooge who fell for Trump.

Despite his attorney's claim that he's not a threat and should be released from jail before his trial, Jacob Chansley, also known as the Capitol-storming "QAnon Shaman," has again been denied pre-trial release.

According to a court document shared by BuzzFeed's Zoe Tillman, Chansley "has not proffered any new information that has a 'material bearing' on whether or not he poses a risk if released.

After tonight's MAGAt rally, all I can say is thank Christ he still doesn't have Twitter access.

SAME old SHIT...the only difference being that he has broken "presidential protocol" to attack Biden (no surprise here)...

Can't believe the MAGAts are still eagerly standing in lines to soak up his bullshit.

Part of me thinks I need to "understand" this...and on some levels I do (Trump identified and manipulated white anger), but no matter how I can process it on an intellectual, cut and dried, black and white level, I still can't believe these people are still basking the the warm orange glow of their bloated messiah.

That's all, nothing else profound to say. I saw some clips and read some summaries and my head's exploding.

CNN Drops Rick Santorum After Racist Comments About Native Americans

CNN Drops Rick Santorum After Racist Comments About Native Americans

By Jennifer Bendery

The former GOP senator lost his contract with the network after claiming there was “nothing” in America before white colonizers arrived.

Santorum, a former Republican senator and two-time failed GOP presidential candidate, sparked outrage last month after claiming there was “nothing” in America before white colonizers arrived and that Native people haven’t contributed much to American culture, anyway.

“We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here,” Santorum told students during remarks at a Young America’s Foundation event. “I mean, yes, we have Native Americans, but candidly, there isn’t much Native American culture in American culture.”

Prominent Indigenous-led organizations including the National Congress of American Indians and Illuminative have spent weeks demanding that CNN fire Santorum over his remarks. National civil rights groups have also called for his firing. CNN has stayed silent on the matter.

But on Saturday, a CNN senior executive told HuffPost that the network quietly ended its contract with Santorum this week. This executive, who requested anonymity to speak openly, said the decision to cut ties with Santorum came after he went on one of the network’s shows, “Cuomo Prime Time,” to explain himself shortly after he made his racist comments. He blew it, said this executive, and after that, nobody at the network wanted to keep him around.

WaPo: Trump's Big Lie Get Off My Lawn Rant Blog apparently hasn't "blown away" all Social Media

Trump is sliding toward online irrelevance. His new blog isn’t helping.

The former president’s aides said his new online presence would ‘redefine the game.’ But his heavily promoted blog is seeing few visitors.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2021/05/21/trump-online-traffic-plunge/

On the Internet, former president Donald Trump is sliding toward something he’s fought his entire life: Irrelevance.

Online talk about him has plunged to a five-year low. He’s banned or ignored on pretty much every major social media venue. And in the last week, Trump’s website — including his new blog, fundraising page and online storefront — attracted fewer estimated visitors than the pet-adoption service Petfinder and the recipe site Delish.

Trump is still by far the Republican Party’s biggest star, and conservative lawmakers and provocateurs are now loudly sparring over the importance of loyalty to him ahead of the 2022 midterm elections or a potential second Trump presidential run. Many of the party’s potential 2024 candidates say they will not run if he does, and many of the party’s luminaries have traveled to Florida to meet with him.

But Trump’s continued influence isn’t translating into a bigger online audience, according to a Washington Post review of data from four online-analytics firms. Social engagement around Trump — a measure of the “likes,” reactions, comments or shares on content about him across Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest — has nosedived 95 percent since January, to its lowest level since 2016.
