Will no one rid me of this noxious ex-president?!?!?!

Just going to throw this out there and hope it works like it did in the Middle Ages.

Anybody know any drunken soldiers just back from deployment in the crusades?

K Jackson's last question was brilliant

Mitchell’s answer may come back to haunt them.

She noted in his brief he was an ambivalent about whether Jan 6 was an insurrection. Asked what it was exactly. He weaseled around a lot but eventually he owned that “illegal and criminal acts occurred” still trying manfully to distance his client from what he tried to characterize as a riot. She smacked him down pretty good as to whether it makes a difference if the folks involved in attempting to overthrow the government were organized or disorgaanized. Her attitude was, why is the difference pertinent when the individuals involved in both have the same aim?

Priceless morning.

Man, it would be nice to live in a region that posts at least once a week.

I truly live in a paradise that is a red state hell. Nobody to talk to up here.

Levis button fly 501 circa 1980-2000 might be the single best value most durable item of clothing you could buy ever.

Incredible durability, heavy grade denim fabric, quality stitching that flexed, but held, designed to fit comfortably, not sag, not elastic.

Ran $22 if you bought them on sale, pay a little more and buy it from sporting goods stores and you could get off sizes like 33 waist that for me perfectly. Rotated through 3-4 pairs through the wash cycle, ended up having to replace worn jeans every 2-3 years.

These days? Paper thin denim that holes within six months. Horribly cheap stitching.

Wish I had a Time Machine. Just to go back and buy a few more pairs of jeans made with a quality I won’t see again in my lifetime.

It will be interesting to see if I have some crow to eat.

I am not a religious man. Not a Christian, though brought up as one.

It occurs to me that if god was going to send Jesus back to earth like they all say he’s going to, considering everything that’s gone on in the Middle East, (shit, maybe the world) this would be the week it happens.

About that $16 McDonalds meal story.

It’s one of the very big reasons that a “booming economy” message isn’t resonating. I stepped into a McDonalds last week with a craving for French fries. Small fries were $2.75. That’s insane, when maybe a decade ago the value menu had them for less than a dollar.

The value menu has disappeared, suspiciously in my view, at the same time that all those self ordering kiosks (that no one uses, and don’t work when I try to use them) were installed.

There was an article awhile back that said the profit margins are all the same to the corporation whether it sells 3000 burgers at $2 each, or 1000 burgers at $6 each, but at the six dollar price point they don’t have to support as many workers, so that’s actually what they’re aiming for.

Or you could go to your local airport where the burger alone now runs about $20.

The optics right now are horrible for that message on the street level.
