KingCharlemagne's JournalPoetic Fucking Justice: Trump is being brought down by a
Muslim-American. It is positively Shakespearean now. Mr. khan's son died in that shitbag of a war so that Trump's name would now and forever be associated with "shirker." I hope the entire fucking Republican Party goes down the tubes with Trump. They deserve nothing less.
God damn John McCain for not speaking out. There is not a single honorable one left among them.
A possible fifty-state slogan: "Trump has sacrificed nothing." Run it in
EVERY swing and red state. Make that bastard choke on his privilege and leave nothing but ashes and smoking ruins of his brand behind. No fucking mercy for that shit-heel.
My most recent status update on Facebook:
Note to voters still unclear as to what is at stake in November 2016:
Muslim-Americans have died in the service of this country and Donald Trump proposes to bar entry to Muslims. Now you don't have to believe in or agree with the missions for which these Muslim-Americans gave "the last full measure of devotion." Some of them died in Iraq and Afghanistan, two episodes in the history of our foreign policy with which I strongly disagreed and continue to disagree. That does not change the fact that they gave their lives in the service of this democratic republic. But Donald Trump proposes to bar entry to Muslims.
There are few words to describe the piece of walking excrement that is Donald Trump.

My snap take on the Dallas shootings: This was an attempt by righting racists, newly empowered by
Trump, to try to discredit Black Lives Matter.
It goes without saying that the right HATES Black Lives Matter.
Re Trump's Pennsylvania speech today: Hitler also promoted economic
autarchy, virulent racial scapegoating and the celebration of the Great Leader.
The answer to the dislocations of globalization IS NOT a retreat into quasi-fascism. The answer is a better social safety net for all citizens and permanent residents.
I hope Hillary and her advisers take this approach, rather than mounting another tepid defense of neo-liberalism while ignoring the victims here of globalization.

All leftists should begin preparing NOW for what is surely coming after Trump wins in November.
Would you say that the Democratic Party (not DU) leans more toward maintaining
the status quo or towards making deep and fundamental changes to it?
It strikes me that there is a pretty even (and deep) split, witness the tightening poll numbers nationally and in key early states.
This really seems a battle for the heart and soul of the Democratic Party for at least the next generation. If I'm correct, who do you think will win that battle and why? If I am incorrect, why?
Full disclosure: I support Sanders and deep and fundamental changes.
