How hawkish will Hillary be with her major national security speech this Thursday?

So I heard on DU Hillary is giving a major national security speech this Thursday.

How hawkish should we expect her to be? Will Clinton keep pushing for regime change in Syria even though that's a major obstacle to stability and security?

What the national polls show and analysis

Huffington Post (Average of several polls)

Real Clear Politics (average of several polls)

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/2016_democratic_presidential_nomination-3824.html

Analysis: Hillary is winning but Bernie is actually doing pretty well considering what he's up against. But hey there are going to be more polls later that will reflect the second debate and recent events like the terrorism.

Prediction: Bernie will win after making an awesome speech about democratic socialism that changes America forever.

Bill Clinton to Appear for ‘Super PAC’ Backing Hillary Clinton

Former President Bill Clinton will appear as the main attraction at a meeting on Dec. 1 with prospective donors to Priorities USA Action, the “super PAC” that is supporting his wife’s presidential campaign — the first such event he will do for the group.

Mr. Clinton’s appearance was featured on an invitation describing him as the “special guest” at the event in New York City that will also feature the group’s chief strategist, Guy Cecil.

The appearance is a potential new phase for Priorities, which has been trying to ramp up its fund-raising as a bumper crop of super PACs has sprouted up on the Republican side of the race. Mr. Clinton raised money in 2012 for Priorities when it was supporting President Obama’s re-election effort.

Webb: "Mrs. Clinton has repeatedly disparaged the integrity of the Marine Corps"

Jim Webb may have abandoned his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, but the former senator from Virginia is not finished criticizing Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Mr. Webb, a former combat Marine, accused Mrs. Clinton of “disparaging” the United States Marine Corps when she said that she was turned away when she wanted to serve in 1975.

Last week, Republicans mocked Mrs. Clinton after she told voters in New Hampshire about her flirtation with military service and recalled that the Marines rebuffed her as too old when she inquired about enlisting at age 26.

“She should tell us when and where this meeting took place, and with whom,” Mr. Webb wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.

Mrs. Clinton has repeatedly disparaged the integrity of the Marine Corps by claiming she was turned away from serving as a JAG officer in 1975 because she was too old at age 26 and too vision-impaired. She should tell us when and where this meeting took place, and with whom. http://bit.ly/1QEAP0R

Finally Got the News - The Story of the Dodge Revolutionary Union Movement

This movie is really good

FINALLY GOT THE NEWS is a forceful, unique documentary that reveals the activities of the League of Revolutionary Black Workers inside and outside the auto factories of Detroit. Through interviews with the members of the movement, footage shot in the auto plants, and footage of leafleting and picketing actions, the film documents their efforts to build an independent black labor organization that, unlike the UAW, will respond to worker's problems, such as the assembly line speed-up and inadequate wages faced by both black and white workers in the industry.

Beginning with a historical montage, from the early days of slavery through the subsequent growth and organization of the working class, FINALLY GOT THE NEWS focuses on the crucial role played by the black worker in the American economy. Also explored is the educational 'tracking' system for both white and black youth, the role of African American women in the labor force, and relations between white and black workers.

The Dodge Revolutionary Union Movement (DRUM) was an organization of African-American workers formed in May 1968 in the Chrysler Corporation's Hamtramck Assembly plant, formerly Dodge Main, Detroit, Michigan.

Detroit labor activist Martin Glaberman estimated at the time that the Hamtramck plant was 70 per cent black while the union local (UAW Local 3), the plant management and lower supervision, and the Hamtramck city administration was dominated by older Polish-American workers.

DRUM sought to organize black workers to obtain concessions not only from the Chrysler management, but also from the United Auto Workers. Walter Reuther and the senior leadership had been early supporters of the American Civil Rights Movement; yet in spite of their growing presence in the auto-industry African-Americans rarely rose to positions of leadership within the union. On July 8, 1968 DRUM led a wildcat strike against conditions in the Hamtramck plant. The strike was observed by some 4,000 workers, lasted 2.5 days and prevented the production of 3,000 cars. In the subsequent Local 3 election, DRUM ran as an alternative slate. Although it did not win, the new organization drew notice for its militancy and willingness to challenge the UAW hierarchy.

The "Revolutionary Union Movement" form of organization spread to other Detroit plants: including FRUM (Ford Revolutionary Union Movement) at the Ford River Rouge Plant, and ELRUM (Eldon Avenue Revolutionary Union Movement) at the Chrysler Eldon Avenue plant. These organizations were brought together in the League of Revolutionary Black Workers which formed in June 1969.

How Hillary protected UBS Bank from the IRS and then UBS poured money into the Clinton Foundation

Notably also, UBS paid more than $1.5m in speaking fees to Bill Clinton.

After Hillary Clinton helped settle tax case, UBS increased foundation support

Clinton helped the IRS and UBS settle a tax evasion case in 2009 as secretary of state, and since then donations by UBS to the Clinton Foundation have grown

Hillary Clinton’s overlap of private and political activities was once again in the spotlight on Thursday after a Wall Street Journal report that since Clinton helped broker a settlement in a legal tax case against UBS while she was secretary of state, the Swiss bank has increased its financial support and involvement in Clinton Foundation projects.

In February 2009, the IRS sued UBS and demanded that it disclose the names of 52,000 possible American tax evaders with secret Swiss bank accounts. In the months that followed – thanks to involvement of Clinton as secretary of state and Swiss lawmakers – a legal settlement was negotiated. On 19 August 2009, it was announced that UBS would pay no fine and would provide the IRS with information about 4,450 accounts within a year.

Since the deal was struck, disclosures by the foundation and the bank show the donations by UBS to the Clinton Foundation growing “from less than $60,000 through 2008 to a cumulative total of about $600,000 by the end of 2014”, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The bank also teamed up with the foundation on the Clinton Economic Opportunity Initiative, creating a pilot entrepreneur program through which UBS offered $32m in loans to businesses, the newspaper reported. Other UBS donations to the Clinton Foundation include a $350,000 donation from June 2011 and a $100,000 donation for a charity golf tournament.

Additionally, UBS paid more than $1.5m in speaking fees to Bill Clinton between 2001 and 2014, the newspaper reported.
