trillion's JournalThe Wall Street kingpin behind the attack on Kasich’s ties to Wall Street
Source: Yahoo News
One of Wall Streets most controversial traders a hedge fund kingpin whose firm paid a $1.8 billion fine three years ago after pleading guilty to violating insider-trading laws is the main financier behind a pro-Chris Christie super-PAC attack ad deriding a GOP rival for his ties to Wall Street.
The attack ad on Christie rival John Kasich, skewering the Ohio governor for once being a Wall Street banker, blanketed the airwaves in New Hampshire this morning. Its part of a $6.9 million ad buy by America Leads, the main super-PAC backing Christies candidacy.
As a banker at Lehman Brothers a Wall Street bank that failed Kasich made millions while taxpayers were forced to bail out Wall Street, the ad proclaims. John Kasich. Washington insider. Wall Street banker.
But while the super-PAC ad seeks to capitalize on voter resentment over Wall Street, it may strike some voters as super-rich with irony. The principal bankroller of America Leads is Steven A. Cohen, the Greenwich, Conn., billionaire trader who, together with his wife, has given $4 million to the super-PAC, accounting for nearly one fourth of its $16.1 million haul to date, according to campaign finance reports filed just last week

Just super pac business
Question is opensecrets.org a republican site? What about Politico?
I'm asking because I'm trying to vet them.
They are getting ambiguous results. Companies can have bad press removed from internet sites and I believe both are trying to present themselves as unbiased.

Hillary’s controversial American-Israeli supporter: Here’s who’s contributing to her Super PAC Hilla
Source: Salon
Haim Saban and his wife Cheryl together contributed $5 million to the Hillary Clinton Super PACPriorities USA Actionbetween 2015 and 2016 alone, according to disclosures available on OpenSecrets.org, affiliated with the Center for Responsive Politics.
While the contributions are not surprising from long-time Clinton-backers, $3 million of them notably poured in after the presidential hopeful authored a letter to Haim Saban in July of 2015, seeking advice on how we can work together to defeat the growing movement to Boycott, Divest from, and Sanction (BDS) Israel.
In the note, Clinton touted her record of defending Israel at every turn, including her obstruction of efforts to hold Israel accountable for war crimes. I have opposed dozens of anti-Israel resolutions at the UN, the Human Rights Council, and other International organizations, she wrote.

Also from this Article:
"I condemned the biased Goldstone Report, making it clear that Israel must be allowed to defend itself like any other country, Clinton continued, referencing a United Nations fact-finding mission into Israels December 2008 to January 2009 military assault on Gaza that killed more than 1,400 Palestinians."
Clinton blasts Wall Street, but still draws millions in contributions
Source: The Washington Post
"Even as Hillary Clinton has stepped up her rhetorical assault on Wall Street, her campaign and allied super PACs have continued to rake in millions from the financial sector, a sign of her deep and lasting relationships with banking and investment titans.
Through the end of December, donors at hedge funds, banks, insurance companies and other financial services firms had given at least $21.4 million to support Clintons 2016 presidential run more than 10 percent of the $157.8 million contributed to back her bid, according to an analysis of Federal Election Commission filings by The Washington Post. "
"In all, donors from Wall Street and other financial services firms have given $44.1 million to support Hillary Clintons campaigns and allied super PACs, compared with $39.7 million in backing that former president Bill Clinton received from the industry, according to campaign finance records dating back to 1974 that have been compiled by The Post."

Looks like she's well financed. Her supporters should do cartwheels.
Clinton from this article:
"Anybody who knows me, who thinks they can influence me, name anything theyve influenced me on. Just name one thing, Clinton said Wednesday night at a televised CNN forum in New Hampshire. Im out here every day saying, Im going to shut them down; Im going after them.?
Interesting contrast with who her funders are.

Iowa caucuses: Ted Cruz wins; Clinton, Sanders tied
Source: CNN Politics
(CNN)One thing is clear after Monday night's Iowa caucuses: there's a long, volatile election season ahead before two deeply fractured parties can unite behind a nominee.
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are leaving the Hawkeye State in a virtual tie -- a vote that underscores the Democratic party's debate over whether it should solidify behind President Barack Obama's legacy or move forward with more radical health care and economic reforms.
Republican Ted Cruz bested Donald Trump, raising questions about the billionaire's reliance on his celebrity instead of traditional political organization. And Marco Rubio's stronger-than-expected showing could mark him as the establishment's best hope against a grassroots revolt in next week's New Hampshire primary and beyond.

Seattle's first tiny house village for homeless to open this week
SEATTLE
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, volunteers put the finishing touches on small houses with the kind of basic amenities you don't see in Seattle homeless camps.
"The difference is you have electricity and a lock on the door," said Steve Tucker, a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, which is hosting what organizers are calling Seattle's first tiny house village.
The 14 homes are insulated.
They'll have oil heat registers for winter and fans for summer
