Binary Choice: Freedom or Cruelty

The term binary choice has been used on the various programs we listen to, mainly MSNBC for this group. When we use the term binary choice many people don’t know what that means. Yes, if we go ahead and explain it quickly, they get it, but going forward, I think what we need is, a quick phrase that anybody can figure out. That would be intended for the people we want to make aware that they have a choice between two vastly different path’s forward.

So with that in mind, my suggestion is we use as our mantra “ freedom or cruelty”. You can’t say democracy versus dictatorship because a lot of people don’t know what democracy means or how dangerous an evil dictatorship can be. So cruelty is a word that tells them flat out what’s going to happen if Trump gets elected, I know that sounds bizarre, but we have to think about the voters we’re trying to reach . To be effective, we need to use the KISS principle “ Keep it simple stupid “.


The most important thing always, is keep it simple or you’ll lose too many of the intended audience. We can’t afford to lose any votes, as we need them all. Even though we’re all encouraged after the convention with Kamala and Tim, we have to keep thinking of ourselves like the Bad News Bears, or thought of another way, a last place losing football team. Obviously the last thing we need to do is get overconfident.
