The Polack MSgt
The Polack MSgt's JournalCaught Stealing, 1-6-5, 4th inning of Cubs at Cardinals. I'd put a star on it.
You know. For those scoring at home
The Iron City House Rockers, The House Rockers. Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers. I saw this band in my HS gym.
And I saw them headline a 3k theater show.
My brother & SIL saw his band in New Jersey, and Bruce Springsteen showed up & sat in for 5 songs.
Because Joe Grushecky is a close, long-term friend of Bruce's and they always visit each other's summer tours.
Of course, there is not much logistic conflict between a Bruce tour and a regional band fronted by a High School Science teacher from suburban Pittsburgh.

Graduation Friday means that Joe Grushecky can go back on tour.
After all, the 30+ year tenured teacher always tours on the summer break

Good morning, everyone. Let's start with some genuine beauty
https://music.&si=DRjAyWrECrRJpNIEIt's Bob's birthday! I am rerunning last years post because I am lazy
Happy Birthday to the legendary Bob Dylan
A legend in the 60s
And the 70s
In the 80s he seemed to change shit up every 3 years or so
From the 90s, well you were never quite sure what he was gonna sound like, but you knew he make amazing shit
In the new century he actually seemed to pause and look back at the old music
2010 up until now, he's still at it. He's still Bob
They don't know how old I am. They found armor in my belly, from the 15th century...

Here's why this topic resonates to me.
My Grandfather was a minor league/semi pro baseball player before and after WWII.
He told me once that he played a demonstration (cash) series against the Greys.
He knew who Mr. Gibson was.
Daddy Joe was a life long Pirates fan - loved Roberto Clemente.
He would wax eloquently about Willie Stargell's power.
He was also a legit, high-level baseball player
Well, he said that "Mr. Gibson" was the most talented ball player he ever saw.
