Clinton's abysmal record on open government
Nothing matters more to leadership in a democracy than support for an open, honest government in which citizens are informed and in charge. It is the foundational building block of the republic upon which all else rests. And any candidate vying for the votes of the American people needs to have demonstrated a firm commitment not only to the ideal but to the reality of open government.
As we noted Tuesday, Republican front-runner Donald Trump is not one of those candidates. But neither is Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Her horrible track record on transparency raises serious concerns for open government under a Clinton administration so serious we believe they may disqualify her from public office. We hope Wisconsin voters give this issue the consideration it deserves when they go to the polls on Tuesday.
The issue immediately at hand and under investigation by the FBI is Clinton's use of a private email server for State Department communications. Clinton may have violated national security laws by making top secret documents vulnerable to hackers and available to people without proper security clearance. Violating those laws rightly ended the public service career of Gen. David Petraeus when he was President Barack Obama's CIA director. The FBI and Justice Department must be free to fully investigate and, if warranted, prosecute Clinton in this matter without any political interference from the Obama administration.
In addition, regardless of Clinton's excuses, the only believable reason for the private server in her basement was to keep her emails out of the public eye by willfully avoiding freedom of information laws. No president, no secretary of state, no public official at any level is above the law. She chose to ignore it, and must face the consequences.

as mentioned in,
The largest newspaper in Wisconsin sharply criticized Hillary Clinton in an editorial published Wednesday, unfavorably comparing the former secretary of state to Donald Trump in terms of her "firm commitment" to open and transparent government.
In its takedown of Trump, published Tuesday, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel declared the Republican front-runner "unfit to be president" by any measure. On Wednesday, the paper's editorial board trained its sights on Clinton, blasting the Democratic front-runner for the ongoing FBI investigation into her use of a private server while at Foggy Bottom and her reasons for setting up the server in the first place.

Sanders bumped off D.C. ballot
As a result of a registration error committed by the District of Columbia Democratic Party, Sen. Bernie Sanders won't appear on the Washington D.C. ballot.
The Vermont senator's name won't appear on the ballot because the party submitted the requisite paperwork one day too late, according to NBC's Washington affiliate, News4.
Both the Sanders' campaign and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton's campaign paid the $2,500 fee to appear on the June 14 Democratic primary ballot on time but the district's Democratic Party failed to inform the Washington D.C. Board of Elections until March 17, one day after the deadline.

New Poll Shows Sanders with Strong Lead Among Asian Americans- March 30, 2016
BURLINGTON, Vt. Following Saturdays landslide wins in Hawaii and Washington, a new poll of California voters shows U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders leading his Democratic opponent 43 percent to 35 percent among Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in California (USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times). Asian Americans alone make up 12% of the likely electorate in California and 66% of the electorate in Hawaii.
Bernies message is resonating with AAPI communities across the country. We saw an amazing Hawaii win for the Sanders campaign on Saturday, said Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii. He had very little name recognition in Hawaii compared to Hillary Clinton. She had the endorsement of nearly all of Hawaiis former Governors, former members of Congress, and the other three members of our congressional delegation. It was so inspiring to see how people came out all across the state to vote, on every island, and made sure their voices were heard. We stood together and sent a message that we want to bring our government back into the hands of the people; and that we must end the costly interventionist wars weve been engaging in for the past fifteen years, and focus on investing in our own communities and rebuilding our own nation.

Poll: Sanders leads Clinton in Wisconsin ahead of must-win primary
Bernie Sanders has opened up a 4-point lead over Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton among voters in Wisconsin, according to a Marquette Law School poll released Wednesday afternoon.
When asked to pick between Sanders, Clinton and someone else, 49.2 percent of likely Democratic primary voters opted for the Vermont senator, while 44.9 chose the former secretary of State.

Nationwide Fundraising Potlucks for Bernie: Dine with the 99%
Hi all,
By now we've all heard about the fundraising dinner George Clooney is hosting for Hillary Clinton. For two seats at the head table with Clinton, Clooney, and his wife, a couple has to raise $353,400 -- FOUR times the average income of a person living in San Francisco.
Natasha Losada has taken the initiative on Facebook to create our own little fundraising dinner; it's called Dine With The 99%. Starting April 14th, the day before Clinton and Clooney host their fundraiser, we would like to have thousands of Bernie supporters across the nation host thousands of dinners where all of us can attend. The event will cover the entire weekend so everyone that has to work or other commitments on Friday can take part too.
If you can't find/host a potluck of your own, take a pic of your meal and your donation and share it using #PotluckForBernie.
Here's how it would work: This is truely a grassroots movement. Individuals around the United States will plan and host an activity in their hometown, it can be a lunch / dinner / picnic / buffet / potluck / coffee break / BBQ etc. Anything goes! Go to http://map.berniesanders.com/ to register your individual event so other Berners near you are aware.
As this is a fundraiser for Bernie, guests will be suggested to make a donation; $27 would be ideal as it symbolic of the Bernie's grassroots movement but all denominations are welcomed.
There is already an event on Facebook, but we need your help to promote the event. Use all the tools at your disposal. Include all those you Facebank in this event and make it a truly memorable weekend and a giant middle-finger to the current campaign finance system.
