I went to a meeting discussing hate crimes with the assistant district attorney responsible for hate crime prosecution. Topics discussed included what is considered a hate crime and ways for victims to report to authorities if and when they feel their rights have been infringed on by another party. I spoke as an African-American Muslim transgender woman and was even interviewed by the local TV station.
As I was leaving and got in the elevator with another African-American woman she informed me that if I ever was in the same bathrooms with her granddaughters she would kill me. I tried to explain that I am transgender, not a pedophile, have no criminal record, and am currently engaged to my fiance, a cisgender man, but she let her hatred fly.
So sad. So very sad.
I agree, but...
Sometimes this is political theater. By saying sure, I will work with you, some voters who are not political savvy may see, hey why not?
I don't agree with that view. I wished he said, sure, we will work with you, TO MAKE OBAMACARE BETTER, but never, ever to repeal until we achieve universal care.

I believe also that when he made the statement, the election for him was assured. This rabbit hole goes far and deep, and when it is all said and done, I further believe we are witnessing the end of the Republican Party.
They can enter the Whig, Federalist, and Know Nothing Parties club.

The country or the Party. If it is the party he is shameless. And the GOP is shameless.
