Study: Sanders supporters are least likely to watch cable news

A new study on the media habits of voters found that Bernie Sanders supporters are some of the least likely among candidates' supporters to watch cable TV in general, and cable news in particular.

About 85 percent of those who identified at Sanders supporters in the Katz Media/Nielsen Scarborough Research Panel study said they watched cable TV in general (both entertainment and news channels), compared with 87 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters. For Marco Rubio, 92 percent of his supporters cited cable television — the highest among decided voters — whereas 89 percent of Donald Trump supporters used cable. Only 32 percent of Sanders supporters said they watch any of the cable news channels. Rubio supporters were most likely to watch cable news with 59 percent saying they do so.

Not sure if this has been posted here or not. I just found it and thought I would share.

Hello all. New here.

Given the reason this site exists and it's Terms of Service this may not make me the most popular person here but, I have a motto:

Country before party; democracy above all.

As a voter, I have had 3 major concerns going back to when I first started paying attention to politics:

1. Campaign finance reform.

2. Lobbying reform.

3. General reform. i.e. Audits and restructuring of departments.

For me, government size isn't so much an issue. I think it's more important to ask, how often should we shake things up?

So that is a bit about me and my beliefs.

p.s. Thanks for the heart somebody.

I don't see how voting for more status quo will change the status quo.

What is the point of having a democracy at this point? The seats may change but the special interests and cronies stay the same.

IMO.

Issues that have mattered the most to me as long as I've been able to vote are finally being brought out into the spotlight. I truly believe that if Bernie wasn't in the race, those issues would have once again been swept under the rug and forgotten about.

Seeing one candidate be able to change the narrative and the national debate to the point that I heard our President address many of those same issues today in Springfield, Illinois seems pretty amazing to me. Maybe not revolutionary yet, but it is a start and I'll take it.

Why would turnout be high

when the only 2 candidates are - "inevitable" vs "unelectable?" 2008 had more choices than that if memory serves.

"When you fund my campaign, you can have..?"

How did Hillary do with independents in NH? I hear they are important in general elections...

Campaign finance and lobbying reform is not a new issue.

Is there NOT a reason why we should be "publicly shaming" lobbyists like Hillary says we should do?

February 8, 2016

My unfortunate dream is to have a political party that values democracy

over prebought, prepackaged, processed politician product that someone else hopes I'll validate with my vote.

Obama: "Yes we can!"

Hillary: "Maybe we can, a tiny bit, someday?"

Bernie: "The system is corrupt, the economy is rigged. Lets maybe try and do something about it."
