Teacher tells students to speak "American," not Spanish because that's what troops are fighting for

I don't blame those students for walking out of class! Trump's Murica!

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. — A 25-second video clip recorded inside a classroom at New Jersey's Cliffside Park High School has struck up a controversy on social media, according to WPIX.

“…men and women are fighting. They are not fighting for your right to speak Spanish. They are fighting for your right to speak American,” a teacher can be heard saying to her class.

Students in Cliffside Park, a diverse community with a large number of Spanish-speaking students, immediately reacted to the comment. At least one even walked out.

"You're being racist," that student can be heard saying on the video. "I know how to speak English."

Russian man says he's the reincarnation of Jesus Christ

In the wilderness of Siberia, thousands of people have flocked to a group of small towns named Petropavlovka.

What would drive people to drop everything and move to a cottage in one of the coldest and most remote parts of the planet? The chance to meet the Son of God in the flesh. Petropavlovka is home to almost 5,000 "Vissarionites," who worship a man who claims to be Jesus reincarnated.

Vissarion, a.k.a. the Teacher, lives in a private compound nearby, but his followers get to hear him give sermons where he discusses topics like vegetarianism, reincarnation and the coming apocalypse, which he says will be a "great flood." Before that day comes, Vissarion hopes to unite all the world's religions.

His followers also study the Last Testament, Vissarion's 10-volume "sequel" to the Bible which includes philosophy, descriptions of aliens and warnings about the future. His followers are also forbidden from drinking and smoking, or using money.

Buffalo sauce latte, anyone?

Tim Hortons, the Canadian doughnut franchise, has introduced them.

The Canadian fast-food chain is debuting the Buffalo Latte. It has all the makings of your classic latte, plus "Buffalo sauce flavor" and "a dusting of zesty Buffalo seasoning."

“Tim Hortons and Buffalo sauce were both born in 1964, so why not take these two Buffalo staples and combine them?” said Stephen Goldstein, Regional President, Tim Hortons U.S. in a press release. “The unlikely pairing of sweet mocha and tangy Buffalo sauce come together to create an unexpectedly delicious sweet and spicy treat we hope our guests will enjoy.”

Owners of Breaking Bad house erect fence in effort to prevent throwing of pizzas on roof

Only in America!

Tourists making a pilgrimage to Albuquerque, NM and visiting the (Breaking Bad) house, in which unexpected drug mastermind Walter White once lived will, no longer will be able to snap the photos they seek — and will probably also have limited opportunities to toss pizzas onto the unassuming abode's roof, as was famously done on the show.

The owners of the single-story home are fed up with the constant tourist traffic and impositions, and are constructing a giant, six-foot-tall wrought iron fence to guard against the attention, local KOB4 News reports.

"We don't want to gate ourselves in," homeowner Joanne Quintana told KOB4. "We're the ones who's being locked up." But with "hundreds" of visitors passing by over some weekends, they've decided it's time to make a change.

Two Baltimore police officers accept disciplinary action even though they supposedly followed policy

in the arrest of Freddie Gray. Hmm, seems suspicious to me...

Two Baltimore police officers agreed to be disciplined for their roles in the arrest of Freddie Gray, an attorney for the officers said Tuesday.

Garrett Miller and Edward Nero "do not believe they violated any policies, procedures or practices of the Baltimore Police Department" but they accepted the disciplinary action to move on and continue their careers, said Michael Davey, an attorney for the Baltimore police union.

Davey wouldn't say how the officers would be disciplined, and police spokesman T.J. Smith said he could not comment on it. Smith did say the two officers are on active duty and are currently assigned to the special operations section, which includes the aviation, marine, mountain, K-9, SWAT, traffic and special events units.

Nero and Miller were among six officers criminally charged in Gray's arrest and death in 2015. They are the only two officers who have so far been punished for their involvement, more than a year after the criminal cases collapsed. Gray sustained a spinal injury in a van ride -- driven by Officer Caesar Goodson -- after he was taken into police custody on April 12, 2015, by Nero and Miller. Gray died on April 19, 2015. The 25-year-old man died after his neck was broken in the back of a transport wagon while he was handcuffed and shackled but left unrestrained by a seat belt.
