CNN anchor Chris Cuomo diagnosed with coronavirus

https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/31/media/chris-cuomo-coronavirus/index.html

New York (CNN Business)CNN anchor Chris Cuomo has been diagnosed with Covid-19, the network said in a memo to employees on Tuesday.

He is feeling well, and will continue to anchor his 9 p.m. program "Cuomo Prime Time" from his home.
Cuomo was most recently at CNN's offices in the Hudson Yards neighborhood of New York City last Friday. He anchored from his home on Monday, and interviewed his brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
This is the third case of coronavirus involving CNN's workspace in New York City. Employees were notified of another case in mid-March.
Like other media companies, CNN has implemented sweeping changes in response to the pandemic. The vast majority of CNN employees have been working from home for several weeks. Anchors have been broadcasting from small studios and home offices. And office spaces are being regularly cleaned.

US death numbers are grossly under-reported say doctors and nurses

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/nidhiprakash/coronavirus-update-dead-covid19-doctors-hospitals

Medical professionals around the US told BuzzFeed News that the official numbers of people who have died of COVID-19 are not consistent with the number of deaths they’re seeing on the front lines.

In some cases, it’s a lag in reporting, caused by delays and possible breakdowns in logging positive tests and making them public. In other, more troubling, cases, medical experts told BuzzFeed News they think it’s because people are not being tested before or after they die.

In the US, state and county authorities are responsible for collecting data on cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, and deaths. The data is then reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In California, one ER doctor who works at multiple hospitals in a hard-hit county told BuzzFeed News, “those medical records aren't being audited by anyone at the state and local level currently and some people aren’t even testing those people who are dead.”

“We just don't know. The numbers are grossly underreported. I know for a fact that we’ve had three deaths in one county where only one is listed on the website,” the doctor said.

A spokesperson for the California Department of Health told BuzzFeed News in an email that “local health jurisdictions are required to report all positive COVID-19 cases to the state. In addition, when a death or impending death from COVID-19 occurs, health care facilities must immediately notify their local health jurisdiction and the state."

They did not immediately address the question of whether they’re confident their death count is accurate given the shortage of testing for COVID-19.

And two of the hardest-hit areas in the nation — New York City and Los Angeles County — released guidance earlier this week encouraging doctors not to test patients unless they think the test will significantly change their course of treatment. That means that potentially more people in both places could be admitted to hospitals with severe respiratory symptoms and recover — or die — and not be registered as a coronavirus case.

This could be the reason why infectious case do not match with US death numbers in comparison to China and Italy.

Mathematical model of Coronavirus spread in USA.

I know some here might not like him, but he has fairly accurate in his prediction about Coronavirus.

I really hope his number are not correct.

USA past 35000 total cases today.

35,746 total cases.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Over 11k cases report today (GMT) at the time of this post. Twice as many as the nearest country.

At this rate, US will past Italy and the world in total cases in a few days.

How are companies allowed to get pass on capacity restrictions mandated by the city/county/state?

I live in Pittsburgh area.

Allegheny County Health Department officials and our mayor has declared a state of emergency in the city Friday evening and prohibited all public gatherings of more than 250 people.

However, office places do not have these type of restrictions. I am still ordered by my company to report to the office on Monday even though the job that I perform does not physically require me to be there in any way. I am a software developer. My office has over 35 floors and probably host well over 7000 employees. Our office only has 1 cafeteria area which most go at lunchtime (~noon).

When will other countries start banning US citizens from traveling to their country?

As US infected numbers steadily increases, when will other countries start banning US citizens from travelling to their country, especially Canada and Mexico? What would be Trump's response will be?

Imagine if the Chinese and/or South Korean put travel restriction on the US soon.

Will we start to see "Tax Tariff tax" on my receipt like the did after Obamacare was implemented?

I remember when AHS was implemented. I started to see "Obamacare" cost added to some of my medical bills. I have to ask, will there be any commercial stores willing to add a Trump Tariff cost to my receipts? I know that tariffs are not on all goods and it would be difficult to calculate which goods price increase are affected by these tariffs.

My point is some businesses think it is was acceptable to make a political statement on consumer receipts. Will the same hold through with any Republican legislation? I assume it will not.

Is there a candidate that has express going after Trump financially and legally if elected?

I'll be honest, I have not fully reviewed at all the candidates yet or watched all town halls primaries. However, I don't see many "flame-thrower" even in this gigantic field. I do see almost all candidates discuss about this administration terrible policies and ways to reverse them. There are some candidates talk about impeachment from the Mueller investigation and some minor accusation of being a racist. However, I'm looking for a candidate that will take on this bully of a president personally and financially. Is there a candidate that said that they will investigate or cooperate in all investigations committed by Trump, his family, and his administration? Is there a candidate that has stated that take will make it their goal to reveal all of Trump's financial history and crimes? Is there a candidate willing to call him an idiot on camera and not sugarcoat it?

Yes, there are so many other issues that the president has to deal with, however, I do not want a candidate to push aside the crimes of this administration. I am tired of the Democratic party being push overs and negotiate to right wing demands "so that the country can heal." There might be a candidate like that and I have not paid that much attention. If so, I'll be voting for them. Please tell me there is a candidate like that.
