A former California police chief and five other men have been indicted on conspiracy charges in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to court documents made public Thursday. The men four of whom prosecutors say identify as members of the Three Percenters antigovernment extremist movement are accused of plotting with one another to block the certification of President Joe Bidens victory.
Among those charged is a former La Habra police chief and founder of a far-right group called the American Phoenix Project, which was formed to protest pandemic-related restrictions and has helped pushed the lie that the election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.
In court documents, authorities describe how the group's founder, Alan Hostetter, in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6 called for violence against those who supported the results of the election. During a "Stop the Steal" rally held in Huntington Beach on Dec. 12, Hostetter warned that "Trump must be inaugurated on Jan. 20th."
"And he must be allowed to finish this historic job of cleaning out the corruption in the cesspool known as Washington D.C. The enemies and traitors of America both foreign and domestics must be held accountable. And they will. There must be long prison terms, while execution is the just punishment for the ringleaders of this coup," Hostetter said, according to the indictment.

Some Rich Entitled Assh*le Bites the Dust.....Christian Kulas
?w=800&r=16%3A9Not everyone wore fur hats and horns while storming the U.S. Capitol. Some, like Chicago resident Christian Kulas, came in Burberry. Kulas was arrested and charged Thursday for unlawfully entering the U.S. Capitol and disorderly conduct in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection. In court documents, federal authorities claim Kulas documented his actions through a series of Instagram Stories, starting from the security barriers surrounding the Capitol to the storming of its halls. Within days, a witness began sharing those clips with the FBI.
As part of Kulus arrest conditions, he is required to stay at his parents $4.5 million mansion overlooking Lake Michigan. His mother has agreed to make sure Kulus attends his court appearances, while his father has agreed to remove two guns from the home. His charges carry a maximum sentence of one year in prison, but he could also face supervised release.

Another Proud Boy Bites the Dust....Shawn Price
A Rockaway Township man, who officials said is a member of the far-right Proud Boys group, was arrested and charged Tuesday for his "aggressive role" in the deadly U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6, said a federal prosecutor at a hearing hours after the arrest.
Shawn Price, 26, brought goggles, milk and other substances used to neutralize the effects of pepper spray or other chemical irritants on his trip to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 2, Catherine Murphy, an assistant federal prosecutor in New Jersey said at the hearing in Newark.
Price, formerly of Hopatcong in Sussex County, has been accused of helping to push a crowd forward into a line of officers that were working to secure the Capitol building.
A federal court judge in Newark ordered Price released on $100,000 unsecured appearance bond. He will be monitored with an ankle device by a pretrial services supervisor, who will also set a curfew.

California woman who was recorded on video at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, saying she wanted to find me a Proud Boy, was arrested on Friday in Huntsville, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Stephanie Baez was among the crowd that stormed the Capitol building during a joint session of Congress to certify the vote count of the Electoral College of the 2020 presidential election, authorities say.
Baez was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to the Justice Department.
Baez appeared on Friday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Herman N. Johnson Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, according to court records. Baez was released on $10,000 bond with special conditions. Her next court appearance is June 9. Its unclear what Baez, a California resident, was doing in Alabama or why she was arrested here.
Baez was the focus of a video titled Girl is Looking for a Proud Boy! that was posted on Reddits ParlerWatch forum. In the video, apparently taken outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, Baez says, I love the Proud Boys. I want to find me a Proud Boy, and offers her Instagram handle.

Four newly identified Capitol rioters, and alleged members of the Oath Keepers, were arrested in the last week, bringing the total to 16 Oath Keepers now criminally charged by the government. An indictment against the defendants claims they pre-planned the attacks in an attempt to interfere with the certification of the electoral college vote.
Jason Dolan, of Wellington, Florida, Joseph Hackett, of Sarasota, Florida and Jonathan Walden, of Birmingham, Alabama were arrested May 27, May 28 and June 3, respectively, according to the Department of Justice. William Isaacs, of Kissimmee, Florida, self-surrendered on May 27.
Hackett, Dolan, Isaacs and Walden are each charged with conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting, and entering and remaining on restricted grounds. Hackett, Dolan and Isaacs are also charged with destruction of government property and aiding and abetting. Isaacs is also charged with civil disorder and aiding and abetting as well as assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers.
In a release, the DOJ said the defendants used social media to coordinate the attacks and recruit other participants in January. Three of the four accused joined an invitation-only encrypted Signal group message titled, OK FL DC OP Jan 6 on Jan. 3. The indictment also alleges that Hackett, Dolan, Isaacs and Walden traveled to D.C. with "paramilitary gear and supplies including firearms, tactical vests with plates, helmets and radio equipment," to be part of the quick reaction force team (QRF).

A man who was seen carrying a "walis tambo" (broom) during the riot of Trump supporters at the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. in January has been arrested in Virginia, authorities have said.
Kene Brian Lazo was arrested by federal agents on Friday in Norfolk, Virginia on charges related to the US Capitol breach on Jan. 6.
The assault on the US Capitol, which left 5 people dead, came hours after then still President Donald Trump urged his supporters to fight the election outcome and block the formal certification of then President-elect Joe Biden's victory.
The certification eventually pushed through despite unprecedented violence.
According to the affidavit filed by a special agent, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) received a tip about a Facebook user named "Fam Council" who stormed the Capitol last January, with the account bearing a photo of a masked rioter who wore a helmet with a "Rodbustars" sticker.
