President* Trump Hears Mueller Knocking ....And he's doing whatever he can to not let him in.

Thought to begin the week: contra Jeff Flake, the Republican Party has been the party of Donald Trump and Roy Moore for at least two decades, its just been waiting for Donald Trump and Roy Moore to come along.
Over the weekend, the president* worked the sports beat. He got in a Twitter wrangle with LaVar Ball, Americas most insufferable sports parent, whose son was jailed for shoplifting in China only to be freed after a short period of incarceration in a luxury hotel. On Monday, the president* found his phone again and ripped Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch for Lynchs behavior during the two national anthems played before an NFL game in Mexico City. While hes no Red Ruffansore, the veteran sports columnist for the National LampoonWater, which never has impressed the ol Redhead as a drink, fails to impress as a playing surface, either.the president* seems to be vigorously polishing whatever shiny objects are at hand. Hes hearing footsteps again, and ABC News may know why.
In particular, Mueller's investigators are keen to obtain emails related to the firing of FBI Director James Comey and the earlier decision of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from the entire matter, according to a source who has not seen the specific request but was told about it. Issued within the past month, the directive marks the special counsel's first records request to the Justice Department, and it means Mueller is now demanding documents from the department overseeing his investigation. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein played key roles in Comey's removal. And Sessions has since faced withering criticism from Trump over his recusal and Rosenstein's subsequent appointment of Mueller.
Hey, JeffBo. Got a second?
This is a new level of peril for the administration* in a couple of ways. First, in this case, theres no way for them to argue that Muellers investigation is exceeding its mandate. Mueller has this job in the first place because the Congress was unsatisfied with the administrations incoherent explanation for why Comey was fired. Second, if the relationship between Sessions and the president* is sufficiently poisoned, if only in the dark precincts of the presidential* mind, then Sessions might well wonder where his own self-interest lieswith the president who gets his mad on over the ingratitude of teenage shoplifters and their parents, or with the implacable investigator who can haul him into court every half-hour for the foreseeable future.
Theres no question that Sessionss decision to recuse himself from any involvement into any investigation into the Russian ratfcking of the 2016 election got up the president*s nose and lodged there. Now, Mueller seems to have ramped up that portion of his investigation. If I were the president*, I might decide this is a good time to repair my relationship with my attorney general.
Of course, by all accounts, and in this as in any other matter, the president* is interested in hearing only that which he wants to hear. The Washington Post reported on a remarkable bit of business going on between the president* and Ty Cobb, the White House lawyer. The White House staff, it seems, is seeing subpoenas under every table lamp. Meanwhile, Cobb is blowing so much sunshine up the presidential* hindquarters that the president* could stand himself on the White House lawn rather than the Christmas tree this year.
The president himself, however, has warmed to Cobbs optimistic message on Muellers probe. Cobb had initially said he hoped the focus on the White House would conclude by Thanksgiving, but adjusted the timeline slightly in an interview last week, saying he remains optimistic that it will wrap up by the end of the year, if not shortly thereafter.
Ty Cobb, Millerite-at-law.
Trumps lawyers have also repeatedly said the president himself is not personally under investigation. Ive done my best, without overstepping, to share my view that the perception of the inquiry that it involved a decade or more of financial transactions and other alleged issues that were mistakenly reported just wasnt true, and that the issues were narrower and wholly consistent with the mandate provided by the Justice Department to the Office of the Special Counsel, Cobb said.
OK, then. Lets move along then and talk about Marshawn Lynch some more.

BREAKING: Bill Clinton breaks with Hillary on impact of Comey letter
Bill Clinton breaks with Hillary on impact of Comey letter
Former President Bill Clinton on Saturday said he disagrees with his wife on the impact of former FBI Director Jame's Comey's decision to reopen his investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server just days before the 2016 election.
Clinton said the decision to reopen the investigation wouldn't have been as damaging had the controversy surrounding her emails not been overblown in the first place.
"We have a slight disagreement about this," the former president said, speaking alongside the former secretary of State at an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of his 1992 presidential victory.
"If the voters hadn't really been told that the email...was the most important issue since the end of World War II, I doubt if the FBI director could have flung the election at the end."
Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of State has long been the subject of controversy and an FBI investigation.
That FBI probe ended last year, when Comey announced that the bureau did not believe Clinton's actions warranted charges. But months later, less than two weeks before the November presidential election, Comey revealed that the bureau had reopened the probe after it uncovered additional emails on the computer of former Rep. Anthony Weiner.
Eventually, Comey said that the agency had closed the probe again. But Clinton has cited the controversy surrounding Comey's Oct. 28 letter announcing that he was reopening the investigation as politically damaging and detrimental to her presidential bid. She eventually lost to then-candidate Donald Trump.
Hillary Clinton has said on multiple occasions that she believes the letter was among a number of factors that cost her the election.

Young Americas Fun Coupleand the grand marshals of this years Homecoming Parade in Stepford, ConnecticutJared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are both in a spot of trouble at the moment. This at least will give them something to talk about when the whole family, and everybodys lawyers, get together for Thanksgiving dinner next week. The way things are going in and around the First Family, youre going to need to swear out an affidavit to get somebody to pass the cranberry sauce, which may well be wired by the FBI.
First, it seems that Jared may have had one of his periodic memory lapses when the Senate Judiciary Committee asked him for some emails hed gotten from WikiLeaks and others that concerned a backdoor Russian overture to him and to the Trump campaign. According to Politico, the two ranking members of the SJC pretty clearly have in hand at least copies of the documents that Kushner forgot on top of the washing machine when the committee asked to see them.

BREAKING: VANITY FAIR..The Ex-Spy Behind the Trump-Russia Dossier Left a Clue for Mueller
The Ex-Spy Behind the Trump-Russia Dossier Left a Clue for Mueller
Christopher Steele told a reporter that one real-estate deal might be key to understanding the collusion case.
November 16, 2017 11:44 am
As federal investigators pour over the Trump campaigns ties to Russia, the work of ex-British spook Christopher Steele continues to loom large. At least part of Robert Muellers probe has been informed by Steeles infamous dossier, which alleges substantive ties between Donald Trump and the Russian government. Though Trumpworld has cast doubt on the documents legitimacy, with former Trump aide Carter Page dubbing it the dodgy dossier, Steele has stood by his research and, reportedly, has offered up another tip: zero in on the presidents foreign real-estate deals.
In December of last year, Steele informed Luke Harding, a journalist for the Guardian, that the contracts for the hotel deals and land deals between Trump and individuals with the Kremlin ties warrant investigation. Check their values against the money Trump secured via loans, the former spy said, according to a conversation detailed in Hardings new book, Collusion: Secret Meetings, Dirty Money, and How Russia Helped Donald Trump Win. The difference is whats important.
According to his book, Steele did not elaborate on this point to Harding, but his implication was clear: its possible that Trump was indebted to Russian interests when he descended Trump Towers golden escalator to declare his candidacy. After the real-estate mogul suffered a series of bankruptcies related to the 2008 financial crisis, traditional banks became reluctant to loan him moneya reality he has acknowledged in past interviews. As a result, the Trump Organization reportedly became increasingly reliant on foreign investors, notably Russian ones. As Donald Trump Jr. famously said in 2008, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of our assets. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.
The significance of such transactions is not lost on Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Citing a person familiar with the F.B.I. probe, Bloomberg reported in July that Muellers team is investigating a series of deals Trump struck, including the Trump Organizations failed SoHo development that involved Russian nationals, the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow, and the presidents sale of a Palm Beach estate in 2008. All three deals have drawn scrutiny for their ties to Russian interests; as Craig Unger outlined for the Hive, the 2014 Trump SoHo development is likely of interest to Mueller thanks to the involvement of Felix Satera Moscow-born, Russian-American businessman who did time for stabbing a man in the face with a margarita glassand the now-defunct company he worked for, the Bayrock Group. Similarly, Russian developer Aras Agalarov, whose son Emin helped broker the controversial Trump Tower meeting last June between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, paid $20 million to bring Miss Universe to Moscow. And Russian fertilizer magnate Dmitry Rybolovlev bought the Florida mansion for a staggering sum of $95 million in 2008despite Trump having paid just $41 million for the property four years prior.
Trump has cautioned that he would view any attempt by Mueller to dig into his past business deals as out of bounds. But the former F.B.I. director has a broad mandate from the D.O.J. to investigate any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigationsuggesting that Trumps deals with Russians fall under Muellers purview. Nor is Muellers tack in following the money limited to Trump. The indictments the special prosecutor brought against former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his deputy and longtime business associate Rick Gates included conspiracy to launder money and seven counts of improper foreign banking and financial reporting. (Both Manafort and Gate have denied the charges.)
Since media outlets published the Steele dossier last January, Republican lawmakers and conservative pundits alike have sought to discredit it. In recent weeks, Trumpworld has latched onto the revelation that the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign indirectly bankrolled Steeles investigative workwhich he conducted for Washington-based intelligence firm Fusion G.P.S.through the law firm Perkins Coie. They have argued that the dossiers origins not only make it invalid, but are indicative of a larger anti-Trump conspiracy. Steele, however, stands by his work. While the former MI6 agent acknowledged that no piece of intelligence is 100 percent airtight, Harding noted that Steele told friends he believes the 16 memos he delivered to Fusion to be 70 to 90 percent accurate.
