What's in store for tomorrow?

Where are Hillary/surrogates and Trump/surrogates going to be?
What's the news story that will take over the media airwaves with respect to Hillary and Trump?
Anyone have any ideas if we've reached the bottom of the "correction" on "pneumonia-gate" and "basket of deplorable-gate"?

Nate Silver 538 and polls in general

Are showing a bit of decline for Hillary Clinton. I'm not in panic mode, but do wonder whether there is a bit of a lag time from the weekend blitz on the "pneumonia-gate". Thoughts?

So, now with Barack Obama giving his fiery speech yesterday in Philadelphia and at least there being a crack in the wall with the breaking Newsweek story...anyone care to venture a guess about lag time on polls and whether there being a bit more coverage on the Trump Foundation and Bondi-gate will tend to push the need even further in Hillary's direction?

And then there's the issue of Daily Kos prediction now showing the Senate retake by Dems at 46%. Ugh....

Michelle Obama to campaign for Hillary Clinton

Michelle Obama isn’t running for president, but maybe she should.

The Democrats’ most popular and effective election campaigner will hit the trail this week to support Hillary Clinton.

The first lady’s popularity rating, 64 percent in August, beats out both her husband’s (52 percent in August ), Clinton's (38 percent during the first week of September), and Trump’s (34 percent during the same period), according to Gallup, the research and polling firm.
Obama will attend an event in northern Virginia on Friday, the first of many in the coming weeks intended to encourage voter registration among African Americans and young people.

I DON'T want to be a "debbie downer" but wonder about the latest Huffpollster - real or rubbish

HUFFPOLLSTER - Donald Trump could be gaining in key swing states...yes...it's from Quinninpiac for OH and FL I shows a 1 point lead for Trump in OH and Clinton ahead in FL by only 1 point (2-way). Princeton Election Consortium shows Trump leading OH and FL as a toss up. Is this something of a worry?

Donald Trump accidentally declares himself ineligible for the presidency

From the Washington Post

Donald Trump's prepared remarks generally serve less as railroad tracks than as aviation waypoints. They're not the unswerving path he takes as he gives a speech at a rally, they're place he wants to get to -- but, as long as he's close, that's good enough.

In Greenville, N.C., on Tuesday night, Trump was supposed to criticize Hillary Clinton for telling the FBI that she couldn't recall details of her email server setup. "Hillary and her top aides told the FBI and others in related lawsuits that they couldn’t recall or remember key facts hundreds of different times," Trump was supposed to say, according to speech excerpts.

What he actually said was in that vicinity. But it also flew into some tricky territory.

"Hillary and her top aides told the FBI and others related in the lawsuits that they couldn’t recall or remember -- can't remember anything!" Trump said. "By the way, if she really can't remember, she can't be president! She doesn't remember anything! She doesn't even remember whether or not she was instructed on how to use emails. 'Were you instructed on how to use?' 'I can't remember.'"

Why's that tricky? Because asserting that Clinton can't be president if she doesn't remember details in an interview would mean that Trump, too, is ineligible for the nation's highest office. Big league.

We can isolate one particular deposition as evidence of this: His September 2012 deposition in a lawsuit regarding Trump University, the real estate training seminar series that has been the subject of fraud allegations and investigations by attorneys general in multiple states.

Over the course of that one interview, Donald Trump says that he doesn't know the answer to a question hundreds of times. He claims not to recall details related to questions dozens more.

Those darn polls

Please don't bash - while I am acutely aware that those darn poll numbers are propped up hype, each day at Daily Kis and Nate Sulver 538 Hillary slips a bit and tRump gains. Bogus or not, they shape and shake the psyche.

I'm wondering if and or when this "trend" will start shifting back to where Hillary was in the mid 80's and tRump was bare touching 20%. Or will MSM keep hammering til those darn poll numbers "consistently" show a 50/50 trend. I don't mean the likely voters but likely to win.

I know Hillary has a huge electoral edge, but these shape-shifting numbers cause me great angst.

Trump Surrogate Admits To Joy Reid: Trump Did 'Pay-For-Play'

In what can only be described as an epic failure, a Trump spokesman first admits that Trump participates in "Pay for Play" deals, but then tries to justify it because he is a private citizen and *everyone* does it.

Clearly, Steve Cortes has no idea that donating money (paying off) officials to get favors or special access is patently illegal, for any citizen. His spin comes so fast and so hard, you can see his eyeballs nearly roll back in his head as he tries to say that Trump plans to end it. Yes, you have to hear it for yourself:

CORTES: Donald Trump is a private yes, he has admitted that to citizen. Some degree there was pay to play that he tried to get access from politicians Which, by the way, significant business people do all the time.

REID: Wait a minute. wait a minute. Steve, are you saying that significant business people regularly engage in pay to play and that that's okay because they're private citizens?

CORTES: No, it's not okay. it's not okay.

REID: You just said that he's a businessman and it's not okay.
