Jim Dandy's JournalThe Hill: Kushner registered in New York as a female voter
Presidential son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner is registered as a female voter in New York, according to public records.
Registration records show that when Kushner, who is married to first daughter Ivanka Trump, registered to vote in 2009, he apparently checked a box classifying his gender as a female.
Democratic opposition research group American Bridge first spotted the error, which Wired then reported first.
"Kushner can't even fill out the most basic paperwork without screwing it up, so it's a mystery why anyone thinks he's somehow going to bring peace to the Middle East," Brad Bainum, a spokesperson for the group, told Wired about the mistake. "Would anyone but the president's son-in-law still have a West Wing job after repeated disclosure errors and a botched a security clearance form?"
Kushner, who has a vast portfolio of issues at the White House, has had to amend his federal security clearance forms multiple times to include meetings with foreign contacts.
He told congressional investigators that the mistakes have been due to a miscommunication with his assistant.
Prior to 2009, his New Jersey voter registration noted his gender as unknown.

Steelers to remain in locker room during the national anthem
Source: ESPN
In a sign of solidarity, the Pittsburgh Steelers will remain in the locker room during the national anthem before their 1 p.m. ET kickoff with the Chicago Bears.
More than a dozen players knelt during the national anthem for Sunday's game between the Ravens and Jaguars at Wembley Stadium. It is believed to be in protest of President Donald Trump's recent comments on protests during the anthem.
A team official confirmed the news, which was first reported by CBS' Jamie Erdahl, who spoke to coach Mike Tomlin pregame.
"We're not going to play politics," Tomlin told Erdahl. "We're football players, we're football coaches. We're not participating in the anthem today -- not to be disrespectful to the anthem, but to remove ourselves from the circumstance.
"People shouldn't have to choose. If a guy wants to go about his normal business and participate in the anthem, he shouldn't be forced to choose sides. If a guy feels the need to do something, he shouldn't be separated from his teammate who chooses not to."

Former 'West Wing' star urges people to write 'Harriet Tubman' on $20 bill
Josh Malina, who played a vice presidents chief of staff on the NBC political drama "The West Wing," encouraged his more than 240,000 Twitter followers on Thursday to write the famous abolitionists name on $20 bills.
Malinas Twitter message came on the heels of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchins remark Thursday that the Treasury Department could abandon plans to replace President Andrew Jackson on the front of the $20 bill with abolitionist Harriet Tubman. The redesign had been finalized under President Obama.
Its not something that Im focused on at the moment, Mnuchin told CNBC when asked about the planned change. The issues of why we change it will be primarily related to what we need to do for security purposes.
According to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's website, currency defacement is defined as "whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, Federal Reserve Bank, or Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such item(s) unfit to be reissued."
