About Honest.Dem

I think it's important to understand both sides of an issue, even if I disagree with the other side. It does not help me or our cause to misrepresent the other sides point of view only to knock it down like a straw-man, and this is why I have the name, "Honest.Dem". Also, I recognize that some on the Right actually care about some of the same things we care about; they only have a different approach to achieving those things. Further, I do not follow blindly any party or person. I hold to principles and I am wiling to work with anyone to achieve results that are in our best interests. Effecting change in a country large as ours requires working with people of different views. This is only possible when both parties treat each other with dignity and respect. And respect allows for a vigorous exchange of ideas and the merits on which those ideas are based. I have no reservations about sharing and defending my principles - I am after all, "Honest.Dem", but I will not engage in character assassination of fellow human beings just because they happen to view things differently then I do.
